Yep. In Illinois we never trust the weather forecast until a couple days out.

So true. There better be sunny skies in my future or I will be an unhappy CA girl waiting for the sun. CoolStick out tongue

  • Ladies, ladies ... I know Illinois is similar to WI ... so plan on a blizzard in the morning, then changing to 70's in the afternoon, followed by heavy fog and perhaps thunderstorms with hail at night.

    Kidding of course!

Hopefully the warmer weather this week will hold through next week!

I don't trust it til that morning! haha!

  • For real though, I need your help! It's still below freezing here with snow everywhere (there are still drifts at least 4' high in places!) so I'm still wearing a winter coat, scarf, mitts, and winter snow boots. Um...what do you wear there this time of year? Could I get by with runners and a spring fleece-lined waterproof jacket?

DITTO! When I looked at the extended forecast for Chicago a few days ago it said 60s and cloudy. Obvi, that has changed, and will likely change again before we get there!

It's hard to answer that!  Yesterday I was wearing my wool pea coat and today my trench coat.  (I live 1.5 hours north of Chicago)  Tomorrow may be a no-jacket-needed-day, but there is snow in the extended forecast.

How about this ... the average cold days around here will be in the 30's and the average high days around here will likely be 50's and 60's.  Plan for both extremes.

Cool. Being the tough Saskatchewanite that I am, when it's close to freezing, it's spring jacket weather and shoes instead of boots. That'll be my plan. We wont see temps that high for probably another 3 weeks!

When I was in the early stage of pregnancy I had to pee all the time too. It was only 2nd tri that I could hold longer than an hour or two so any non-alcohol allowed girls may still be peeing with us!
