As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. How many cc offers do you get in the mail each day?
Yesterday, DH and I received five cc offers. FIVE!! We receive at least one per day (yes, everyday, we receive at least one) but five was the max we have received in one day. For one thing, it is SUCH a disappointment to race to the mailbox after work to realize all that has been waiting for you is stupid cc offers and for another...wtf? I guess I was under the impression we (our country) were in some sort of credit crunch?
Anyway, its annoying.

How did you set up a fraud alert? Is this a service you have to pay for?
You know, I actually don't remember the last time I got one. I opted out a few years ago though: https://www.optoutprescreen.com/opt_form.cgi
ETA: when you fill in the letters in the security box at the bottom, it's capitalization sensitive. I just did mine again with my new last name for good measure.
Thanks for posting this link! H and I get a ton of these as well (usually we get two from the same company, one addressed to each of us, on the same day, at least 3 times a week). We will have to fill out this form and see if it stops.

Do you have to opt out every year? I have done this multiple times and it hasn't helped. I am going to do it again though just to be sure - thank you!
You shouldn't have to, but I would probably do it every time my address changed to be safe.
Good to know - just opted out for both of us. It seems like the last year has gotten HORRIBLE and I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with my company AMEX card? Either way - soooo annoying! Thanks, lady!

I rarely get offers. I used the opt out thing bluekid posted several years ago.
The only offers I get are ones associated with airlines.
