If anyone else wants to sign up eithe post your email here, or FB me or PM me with your email so I can send the invite.

Good Luck!!!

Re: Last chance for MM Brackets

  • I did mine!  Even DH thought I did a good job... but we'll see!

Interestingly, 2 of my 3 alma maters are in the tournament! (the other one is Division 3, so that wouldn't happen, anyway).   I'll have lots of cheering to do, but probably just for one round. :-(

My Cats will have to play Ohio State in the 3rd round so I'm not happy about that.  They got screwed over and got a 4 seed after SPANKING Florida in the SEC title game....Florida got a 2 seed.  WTF?

I was confused about that too Stac.  I guess somewhat based on regular season preformance and the higher ranked teams they played.. I don't know. Every year there are several teams that make me say WTF were they thinking.

My alma mater has yet to make it to the big dance.  the best chance they had was back in '05ish I think.  It will be a while before they make it closer again.

  • Even though teams may have done well in their conference, if their overall score (I can't remember the name) from all their games is low, they have a lesser chance of making it.

Va Tech and Colorado got shut out this year, mostly b/c they had a low overall score based on all games, not just conference games.  (I'm fine w/Tech though, freaking chokies.)

There's always the Not Invited Tournament! Wink

It's called RPI. It's pair with SOS (strength of schedule) to determine seeds, at large berths, etc...

I'm pissed because UK and Florida had virtually the same RPI and SOS and KY spanked them so I'm not sure how they got the higher seed.

Yeah that.  DH is into basketball b/c he likes UNC, but I can't get into it.  I'm a football girl all the way.

That's weird that they would have such a similar RPI and get such diff seeds, especially if KY beat them in the Conf. tourney.
