and I'm wondering what you guys think about this:
The bride and groom are Asian. One of the things the groom really wanted was for them to wear traditional Asian garb, while the bride wanted a white dress. The groom won the Attire challenge, and the bride was really, really upset. The groom was insistent, and at first I was thinking he was kind of a jerk and should just let her wear what she wants, but at the same time I could see his point: he won, fair and square, and they were equally adamant about their wants, so it's sort of tough to compromise.
Flash forward to the wedding: she comes out in a white dress. His reaction, rather than the awesome 'reveal' reaction I love to see, was more like, "WTF?" and he was shaking his head. He looked like a tool, standing up there in an ornate robe by himself.
So who was more wrong? Should the groom have given in? Was the bride acting like a brat by coming out in the white dress?
To be fair, she did change into the Asian garb later on during the reception. My take on it is that they should have talked about this beforehand, and it doesn't really bode well for future conflict resolution in their marriage.
Edited because I'm dumb and wrote 4 Weddings for some reason ![]()
Re: I'm watching Whose Wedding it it Anyway
Attire challenge? Have they changed the format of the show?
Anyway, I agree with you - they need to work on their communication. Although, I'm pretty pessimistic about any couple who appears on a wedding show.
There was a brief period when I wanted a red dress. DH wasn't really happy with it, but it was moot since I couldn't let go of the white dress dream.
They had challenges for food, decor, attire, and...something else?? I missed the very beginning.
Oh. Wait. HA! Wrong show, I will change the title.
