Re: anyone celebrating St. Patrick's Day?
We don't generally celebrate St. Patty's Day, neither of us are Irish and the green beer skeeves me out.
Since basketball starts tomorrow, I'm sure the bars and restaurants will be even more crowded, but DH has a baseball game to work anyway, so no plans for us.
DH has a "work dinner"...so I'll be home with DS.
ETA: I may make a run to irish McDonald's.
I specifically don't go out on holidays like that, cuz I don't want to deal with the crowds, especially on a work night. DH's parents are coming in to town tomorrow, so I'm sure his mom will just make dinner.
I'll wear my green though!
I got a Shamrock shake a few weeks ago, and it definitely didn't live up to the hype in my brain
I was sad. So I bought some thin mints from a girl scout and that made up for it.
I finally tried their frozen strawberry lemonade last night and I was dissapointed too.
Is a shamrock shake like a cookies and cream thing? Is there a crunchy texture in it or is it just straight milkshake?
straight vanilla-mint milkshake. nothing in it with crunchies or chocolate.
Boring.
What about that WITH crushed girl scout thin mints?
now we're talking!
i love the thin mind edy's ice cream. or any mint chocolate chip ice cream. it might be my favorite. mmmm.
When I was in high school my girl scout troop (yes I was in scouts in high school, shut up) pitched this idea to McDonalds - to put thin mints in the Mc Flurries. Unfortunately, they didn't go for it.
My Ovulation Chart
Apparently in honor of st. patricks day my office is getting chinese takeout.
That night I will be too busy baking and cooking for the shower I'm throwing this weekend to even think about going out.
My Ovulation Chart
I don't think we have ever gone out for St. Patricks day. I have a green dress I am wearing though.
I totally don't judge. They're effing morons.
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

Nothing on our end. The Irish pub I worked at last summer needed some extra help so DH is bartending which rocks because he'll make way better money there than this other job. They've also tentatively offered him a job as long as they can work with his school schedule.
I'll be sitting at home. I know my mom wants corned beef and cabbage but I don't even know where to start to make it.
We used to go to a huge St. Patty's Day Kegs and Eggs party in DC every year! Def going to miss that this year!
I will be in Tampa this year, so I'm sure we will get into something!!
I crush half a sleeve of thin mints and add them to the blender when making a milkshake. Heaven!
