Blahh

My chicken is sick again/still.  She was getting better, and now she is back to being super sick again.  It is so frustrating.  I just moved her back in the house.  DH is not happy. Embarrassed

Re: Blahh

  • Poor girl! Hope she heals fast....
  • Aw, poor little hen!

How can you tell when they're sick? Do they lose their feathers or something?

Her crop is enlarged...basically her tummy is all bloated.  She acts/sounds sick as well.  Like right now she is silent, and if she makes an occasional noise it doesn't sound like a regular chicken noise.

Oh look at you. You're such a good chicken mom!

ETA: Speaking of being a mom- have you gone public yet IRL?

We came out to H's side of the family.  We actually just called his Grandpa about an hour ago and told him he was going to be a Great Grandpa.  We told some of our friends too.  I have not told my family yet because my relationship with my parents is sort of complicated.  I have not seen my Mom since July.  She did randomly email me last week though asking me to have dinner so I am meeting her this Friday, and I guess I will tell her then.  I am not expecting the same level of excitement/happiness that we are getting from H's family.
