sex drive and working out

Have any of you ladies found that your sex life gets put on hold when working out? I don't know if its just our schedules or what, but ever since DH and I started doing P90x it's put a hold on our sex life :/  I feel like something is wrong with that. 

I'm tired when I come home from work, and usually we have a quick snack and then the hour long workout and we're both exhausted and hot and gross after that which isn't a big turn on for me haha and then its shower and then I usually go to bed since I can't stay up super late b/c of having to get up early for work the next day.

Like I know that we are busy and everything..but idk I just feel like something is wrong with this picture. We haven't even been married a year yet and already going through a dry spell? Idk :/  Anyone else gone through this before? 

Re: sex drive and working out

  • Dry spells happen, for us it happens since we work too much but never had it happen because of our workouts.  Have you thought about having the workouts early in the morning before work? Normally we wake up around 5 and get them in, so its not something have to worry about once get home.  Plus by working out early in the morning, gives us a lot of energy throughout the day to make it.  What we do is plan things together, date nights and whatnot, helps us stay focused.

  • If you are both hot and sweaty after the work out why not hop in the shower together?  That usually gets my H and I in the mood quickly.

    I suggest jumping in the shower together too.  Even if it does not lead to anything more, it will keep you feeling close.

  • If you're too tired before bed (usually the same with us) then you need to find other times such as when you first get up in the morning, when you first get home from work or on days when you rest from working out. You can find them in your schedule, you just have to make a priority. I know what it's like to be exhausted by bedtime though!

     

  • We have dry spells because of work too, but workouts typically help!

    We hop in the shower together and meet in bed afterwards ;) 

  • we take two days off of working out a week to spend time together because we're way too tired when we already get home late then work out, shower, get dinner ready.....there's no time left and what little time is left we'd rather relax instead of try to get all wild. On our days off from the gym we'll go for a walk after dinner so we don't feel as guilty and we're way more relaxed for doing it.
  • hummm, we have better sex when we work out more?

  • We tend to have a much better sex life when we are both working out, especially when we are working out together.

    But I agree try making time for each other in the shower or afterwards in bed, it is worth it!!
