  • I am reading Fly Away Home by Jennifer Weiner and I'm listening to Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella in the car.

Both aren't great so I'm eager to finish them and move on to something else.

  • I just finished the Bride Quartet from Nora Roberts. All super cute books. I loved all the wedding talk and hot steamy sex.

This is an odd concept for me. If a book is not AWESOME I wont read it, certainly not to the end. I read Cosmo. that is all

.*. We come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by finding an imperfect person perfectly .*.
  • I'm reading Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant by Anne Tyler. I think I need to take a break from it though - I've been having problems with feeling really down lately and this book is just depressing me more. :-)
  • Besides cookbooks and textbooks?  Nothing, unfortunately.

I started The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake but it wasn't holding my attention.

I'm looking to get Roland Mesnier's memoir - All the Presidents Pastries - pretty soon.

I do this unless the book is AWFUL. It nags on me and I feel sort of incomplete if I don't finish it. I do start speed reading and skim some though, which makes it not even worth it. Add this to the crazy things I do I guess - ha!

I'm reading this. It's good so far:

Oh, and I just finished another Billie Letts book. I always loved Where the Heart is, but hadn't read her other books. Just read the Honk and the Holler Opening Soon and Shoot the Moon - both good.

I also just finished (I'm on a reading kick) the new Jodi Piccoult book. It was pretty good, but I don't know if maybe I'm just getting used to her style or what, but this one was WAY more predictable than her others.

Such a great series.  Too bad Vows doesn't really exist, that would be so freaking awesome!!

I just finished Treachery in Death which was the latest in the In Death Series by Nora Roberts' psedonym, JD Robb.  It was fantastic.

Have a bunch of library books to read, not sure which one is next.

  • I'm on a Hemingway kick (going to Spain this summer)--- recently finished The Sun Also Rises.  Re-reading For Whom the Bell Tolls.

Randomly, I also just finished Eat, Pray, Love (I'm behind the times).  I didn't particularly care for it.  The woman didn't come up for air-- all her, all the time.  NMS.  I would like to go to India and Bali though ;).

  • I'm reading Battle of the Labyrinth, book 4 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians

I freaking love love love Where the Heart Is and Honk and Holler. She is a great great author. Totally my kind of books.

  • Nothing now, but I have The Help on my list to read next, or soon.  And The Girl with the Dragon Tattoos...all those on on the top my list too.
  • Skinner's Verbal Behavior. Let me tell you, its a real treat.

In my "free time", aka avoiding Skinner, I'm reading Utopia.

  • I to read a book to the end even if I dont like it. I seriously can probably count on one hand the number of books I just gave up on and never finished. I think part of it is b/c I am such a fast reader anyhow.

Currently reading Joddi Picoult's new one. This is actually taking me the longest to ever read one of her books. All the fertility tx stuff in it is like a knife in my heart so I've been taking lots of breaks from it. Plus work has not been book friendly this week!!

  • I've been reading a lot lately. Just finished Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner, World Without End and The Help. Right now I am reading A Secret Kept by Tatiana de Rosnay (she wrote Sarah's Key, which was really good), and next on my list is Matched - which is apparently great if you liked Hunger Games. Are we friends on Good reads?

    Baby Sister is coming soon!
  • I just finished She's Come Undone. I couldn't put it down! I know I'm soooo far behind the loop on that one that it isn't even funny. A friend gave it to me years ago, after a friend gave it to her, and someone else gave it to her.. Guess it's my turn to pass it on. I reallydid enjoy it.

Currently I'm reading a book on Theosophy, which is anything but easy reading. heck, it's barely comprehensive at this point lol

Thank you! I made myself read the whole thing, it felt like torture! I read it shortly after we got home from our honeymoon in Bali and wanted to see what her take was. Ugh, I don't know if it was just because I felt like I couldn't relate to her or what but I just wanted something horrid to happen to her the entire time for her to have an epiphany and get over herself!
