Remember St. Patty's Day in Middle School

Where it was cool to "not" wear green and then when the boys come after you to pinch you, you let them know that you are acutally wearing green unders and show them the side of it.

Or maybe that was just me and my boy crazy friends...did anyone else do this??

(For the record today I am wearing a green shirt. My boy crazy days are long gone!).

  • ha! No (Indifferent), I can honestly say I don't remember those days. I never dressed up for St. Paddy's Day.

  • No.... that would just be you.  :-P

Honestly tho, I remember people doing this actually.  In high school there was no reason to tho - our uniforms were green plaid skirts and oxford shirts with the school name in green embroidery.  So yeah... no fun in high school.  ha!
  • Haha I never was able to pull that off. I was usually green from head to toe (except jeans of course) I did however know some girls who did that... in HS not middle.

.*. We come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by finding an imperfect person perfectly .*.
  • Guess it WAS just me and my skanky friends. haha! Any excuse for the boys to pay attention to us!

I think we did this in HS too now that you mention it. In middle school I remember something about the color green supposed to mean that you were horny. Like green M&Ms made you horny or something. So we'd all walk around on St. Patty's day saying happy horny day! (Although I'm not sure that we even actually knew what horny felt like. Kids are so weird!).

  • haha you're hilarious :)

i think i was much to shy to do that. i probably wore green, but not too much and not too little...just the right amount. ugh...my school was like straight out of Mean Girls. i had a tight best friend from 4th grade through high school...so it was pretty much just the two of us. didn't talk to too many boys in middle school. i just gazed and swooned from afar :)

Don't worry, my skanky friends did that too and at our school the boys would always have green boxers on.

Our school colors were green so the boys always wore green stuff and everyone 'knew' that it was because green was the horny color. So funny!
