What an AWFUL show last night! Really, if I were just going off last night's performances, it'd be really hard to pick a bottom three. Most of them truly sucked! Even my favorites were sub-par. I'm still going to tune in the next few weeks because they can only get better, right? They can't get much worse!
I took little notes during the performances, and I didn't have all that many positive things to say. Songs from the year they were born... I alternated between being bored and so disappointed. I cringed so much through most of the show, it's a wonder that my face didn't stick like that!
The judges' critiques were too easy on the contestants. Their praise for a few performances truly baffled my mind. Were they hearing the same thing as me? A couple of the contestants will get a "bye" this week for being sick, and a few more will definitely get through the next few weeks based on likability and previous performances.
My favorite parts of the night were watching the judges flinch at all the bad notes! Oh, and watching J-Lo singing along, mouthing the words, seemingly willing the contestants to hit the right notes. Oh, and Ryan helping to clean up the red lipstick smudges from Haley's chin/cheek after she made out with the microphone. Best performance of the night, in my opinion, goes to Stefano. He had the fewest bad notes, and his performance was generally pleasant to listen to and on pitch throughout.
My predictions:
Bottom Three: Karen, Naima, Haley
Going Home: Karen

Re: American Idol watchers... what's your prediction?
I agree with your bottom three, and I hope Naima goes home
I was cracking up when Haley wore the lipstick all over her face lmao
I don't really have a favorite, though
yeah no one is jumping out at me. i like stefano & pia.
haleys lipstick debacle was awesome! um hello honey. live TV.
I'm hoping it is Naima. I agree with your bottom 3!!
I just started watching the results show. Their sound guys need to work on their sound mixing. I don't fully mind whose mikes they cut or didn't quite mix correctly, but poor sound quality.
MAN, I'm getting cynical! I'm an at-home-Simon-Cowell-channeling-couch-critic!
