Can we do a good things post?
There is so much uncertainty and garbage that we're all dealing with right now. Anyone game for a good things post?
Re: Can we do a good things post?
The sun is out today and it's supposed to be 60 degrees.
I basically stole 2 pairs of jeans from the Rock and Republic outlet. The markdowns were absolutely insane.
Today is the 10 year anniversary of meeting my amazing husband. I never could have guessed that the silly Boston boy I met in Vegas would become my best friend and my biggest supporter. Even with the bumps in the road, I wouldn't trade this adventure we're on for anything.
Now you go. What's good in your lives?
I'm getting over my cold and have not lost my voice ::knock on wood::
Q stayed up until 8 last night! So neat to see him happy to see DH when he got home from work! (understand, his bedtime has been 5-6pm for most of his life but we're taking advantage of the time change to push him)
Hellz yah!
Today is my Friday!
I am having corned beef and cabbage
This time next week, I will be getting reading for a Chicago trip with some gals of my anniversary board!!!
I get to watch my 6 mos old niece this Saturday while her parents are going to a Sharks game.
Going to a GTG on Sunday!
I have my health, my husband, my family and my friends!
Our offer was accepted by the Seller and now we just wait for the bank.
We are going to visit my family this weekend...I'm excited to see my Uncle and Aunt from New Orleans via St. Louis.
H man is finally feeling better from his cold/ear infection/fever.
I'm planning a really fun party for June!
It is St. Patrick's Day!!!!!!!
The Tourney kicks off today!!!!!!
I have tomorrow off & have a lunch date with DS.
I made some beer bread yesterday & it was soooo delicious.
Got the nook app for my phone & enjoyed reading in the dr. waiting room.
My fat cat. He knows how to live a good life. Please disregard the "artwork" on the wall.
1. Today is my Friday and I'm really really really excited about that.
2. I get to have people I love over for brunch on Sunday.
3. We have had pie at the house pretty much for the last two weeks. There was one day when I'm pretty sure DH ate three slices of it. For whatever reason, that makes me giggly.
Yesterday marked 6 years that J and I have been together. We sat in bed eating ice cream and reliving the night we reconnected after our first date (two weeks before). We got all giggly like kids and I fell in love with him all over again.
Last night I also discovered Ben & Jerry's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch ice cream. The best thing ever!
Between the excess J and I are getting in our paychecks this month along with our tax refund, we're pretty much putting a HUGE chunk of money into our savings, after buying a new recliner of course.
Great idea, Andrea.
I had a 1:1 GTG with a former Boston Nestie last night and it was tons of fun.
I get to play volleyball tonight and start a new league season with cool people.
After nearly six years, my marriage feels stronger than ever and lately I've just been feeling really grateful and lucky to have my DH. No reason in particular, he's just the best and loves me in every way I could have ever hoped for.
I am really grateful for my amazing, wonderful, and super supportive friends and husband.
::jealous::
starting a new job next week and im thrilled.
Today is my Friday and both my classes were cancelled.
I am having corned beef and cabbage for dinner.
My dad is coming over for said dinner, so are the in laws.
I am excited for the rainy weather this weekend, I plan to spend it curled up on the couch with the fur babies.
Last time DH went to the store he bought me a bag of ginger snaps because he knows how much I love them.
Only one more week of school then Spring Break!
My little brother no longer lives in the same state as me.
I am going to pay my car off next month, six months early! I can't wait to have the pinkslip in my hands.
I was able to park at my BART station today even though slow traffic made me late. Yay for not being late to work, lol.
I finally got caught up with my filing at work. It is nice having an organized desk and not worrying about leaving my co-workers with a ton of loose paperwork.
2 of my brothers will be staying with us until Sunday.
My car bomb cupcakes turned out well.
My H has been just as amazing as I thought he would be during this pregnancy. I feel really greatful (or is it grateful?) to have such a great partner.
Only 1.5 car payments left :-)
There's a GTG at my house on Sunday!
I have Tues and Thu off next week and have a reprise from 12 year olds for a week.
We got gifted MIL's old everyday china because she got new stuff. Incidentally she copied us and got square plates this time. Our everyday stuff has chipped or broken a lot so this is nice.
We'll be getting FIL's car so we'll finally have two cars. Probably we won't take it until we move to L.A. because we'd have nowhere to park a 2nd car here. We get ticketed if we park on the street (plus not really safe) and we only get one garage spot. But it's nice to look forward to.
Spring Break is in 3 weeks. I'll get to sleep in and hopefully we can go somewhere (like Big Sur finally).
In the summer we're going on a Maritimes cruise (MA, RI, ME, NB, NS) and everything's booked.
Donate to My Pancreatic Cancer Research Page
today is my friday too
a client sent me a thank you note, along with the note was a gift certificate for 1lb of see's candies
DH and I actually had a day off together. We went for a wonderful bike ride today.
So many things have hit the fan lately it has been a blessing to be able to enjoy a beautiful day like today.
Dust for all of you for better days to come!
My sister arrives the day before my dad leaves and DH's cousin is visiting after that, which will be a lot of fun.
I'm done with 2 out of my 4 midterms and spring break starts in a week!
We hired a housecleaner to come in and do a deep clean last week and I'm still finding new things that I didn't expect to be cleaned but were! They did an extremely thorough job and that makes me very happy.
DH was asked to be on a panel at a conference in Seattle next month (a big deal in itself for him professionally) and I've decided to take a few days off of school so we can all go. I haven't been to Seattle in years and I'm really looking forward to it.
And our bank account balance is making me happy. Between our tax refund, DH's annual bonus and a recent raise, and his cut of the sale of some family property, our savings account has gotten a major boost. It's still not enough for a decent house down payment, but that possibility is starting to feel within reach.
Awesome! Congrats.
1. It's light when I get home from work!
2. Watching things bloom in our backyard that we've never seen bloom before has been really stinking cool. There's a riot of violets in the front yard.
3. We were supposed to drive to the Bay Area this weekend to buy something at Ikea, which I was kinda dreading because I want to stay home and veg. It's supposed to rain all weekend so we decided to stay home.
4. I came home to a CLEAN pile of dishes, cleaned up kitchen and a vacuumed living room. Love that.
