I'm directly related to one of the signers of the Deceleration of Independence.
My Grandad helped design and test the software for the first space shuttle launch, and still does work for Nasa. They also watched one of the astronauts dogs while he was in space.
I did better on my SATs in 7th grade, and got offered a scholarship to John's Hopkins, than I did my Jr. year.
I'm a published poet.
And I honestly think if I could work up the balls to audition, which will never happen, I'd be at least top 10 on American Idol.
-My dad is a professional bass fisherman and was gone pretty much every weekend when I was growing up. He has now moved on to collecting motocycles, and I think that my parents currently have 2 bass boats and about 7 or 8 motorcycles.
-I gradated from highschool 6 months early and went straight to college at 17. I finished my 2 year degree in a year and a half.
I am not very interesting.
At work I have had some unique opportunities:
I have met the last three Canadian Prime Ministers in person.

My uncle is the CEO/President of Aurora Flight Sciences in DC. They do a lot of contract work for NASA. When he was at MIT, he organized and led a series of human-powered aircraft projects, culminating in the Daedalus Project which in 1988 shattered the world distance and endurance records for human-powered flight with a 72 mile flight between the Greek islands of Crete and Santorini. It is currently at the Smithsonian Museum. I wish I had 1/2 of his brains!

I live about 15 minutes from Burkittsville, where ?The Blair Witch Project? movie was based and have camped in the woods where the witch is supposed to be. Oddly enough, the woods are really easy to get out of. I got tired of camping one night and found my way back to the car in the middle of the night by myself.
I can flip my eyelids inside out. It really freaks people out.
I swear my Mom?s house I haunted and that I?ve seen a ghost of a little boy there. Years after I first saw this, I did some research and found out a little boy who used to live in the house died of cancer, not in the house, but while his family was still living there.
My entire family has musical and/or artistic talent and such a passion for it; I have none. Sometimes they ask me what I?m passionate about; my response is always petting kittens/cats lol.
I am incredibly intelligent, but fear showing it because I think it will alienate those around me.
Whenever I DIY something, I am rarely dis-pleased with the results. I think things through very thoroughly before applying them to my projects.
I have a decent voice, though I am usually goofing off when others hear me singing.
I am a published writer.
I "work smarter, not harder." Co-workers (management especially) frustrate me to no end!
My brother-in-law is the drummer for a nationally-known country music artist
My other brother-in-law is a yachtsman, and was a part of the crew that won the America's Cup in '92
While still in high school, I participated in a program where I taught school to truants and delinquents. My main student was 14 and pregnant with her first child. She was court-ordered to participate in the program, and I taught her in her home, where roaches crawled the walls, they had no refrigerator, and she slept on a mattress in the living room. Seeing that on a daily basis made me incredibly grateful for my upbringing.
I used my high school graduation money from my grandmother to start a business, which I ran successfully for 7 years.
I totaled 4 cars in a one-year period. Granted, they were all $5,000 or less cars, so it didn't take much to total them, but still...that's 3 accidents and one serious hail damage incident in one year.
I've been asked out to dinner by Ben Stein.
My great grandfather was electrocuted by lightning when he was testing one of the first phones.
I was published in a Classics journal in college, but my major was Biology.
I'm truly untalented in all things musical - I have absolutely no sense of tone, pitch or rhythm (so bad I can't stand to hear myself sing), but understand this and don't subject others to listening/watching me!
I helped throw a party in college that got shut down by the FAA. (yes, the flight administration)
