Yay, it's Friday! What are people up to this weekend?
Re: FRIDAY!
Tonight - fly to Boston.
Saturday - bake and then host a bridal shower for my sister. Then go out for a family dinner to celebrate my sister's upcoming elopement. I AM SO EXCITED!
Sunday - hang out with my family. Not sure what we're going to do. Maybe shopping for the girls and Clint Eastwood movies for the boys. Maybe go to the MFA.
For the first time in a long time DH has the weekend off and we have absolutely no plans!
Hopefully we'll go out one day and do something fun. Maybe a visit to a Children's museum and/or a trip to Trader Joe's. Otherwise grocery shopping, going for a run, doing a little cooking and cleaning. So looking forward to a low key, family weekend!
Daycare is closed today, so I took the day off to hang with James. While waiting for Jess & Abby to arrive for an impromptu playdate, I've already managed to get an entire kitchen full of dishes done (which my darling husband hasn't managed to do in 2 weeks inspite of being home on Mondays and Tuesday afternoons and having the house to himself most of Saturday and Sunday last week... but I am getting off topic here...), get my make-up on, help James poop on the potty, do a load of laundry and empty the dishwasher. After naptime I think we're going to make chocolate chip cookies. Tonight we'll just hang out, maybe watch one of our Netflix.
Tomorrow I'm ditching the family and going to one of my bellydance troupemate's birthday shindig. She's having a hoola hoop instructor friend come down and we're going to hoop it up (get it, get it?!) for a couple of house in the late morning and then go eat some cupcakes. I should probably pick up a bottle of wine or chocolate for a gift beforehand too. Tomorrow night we'll likely just hang around some more.
I totally thought this week was Maine Maple Sunday, so that's what I had in mind, but apparently I'm wrong- it's next week. So now I'm not sure what I'm up to on Sunday. I really tought I had plans. Hm, that's disconcerting... I wonder what I'm forgetting.
I suppose I have to fit gorcery shopping in there somewhere and finishing the taxes. Normally I'm done with taxes by mid-Feb, so its unlike me to be this late. I'm also supposed to get some tile workers scheduled to look at our unfinished shower to get estimates so we can finally freaking be done with the redesign we started, um, 3-4 years ago.
Tonight: I'm meeting a friend for a b*tch session over coffee, much needed after the past 2 weeks. I'm also returning more baby stuff and picking up more useful things in their place.
Saturday: We're painting the baby's room a bit more, DH is doing the second coat of the first color, while I'll be starting color #2 (of 3). Then he's headed out to watch tournament b-ball, and I'll have the freedom to do whatever I want... not sure what I'll do yet.
Sunday: CD workshop at the Diaper Lab! I'm excited to touch them and learn more!
I really also need to fit in some organizing, cleaning and purging of junk at home.
My Wedding Bio! Not updated in a LONG time!
Yeah weekend, so excited!
Today/Tonight: Usual work day, then off to get my hair did- looking forward to a little "me" time! DH is charged with putting dinner together (he's home from sea!!!), and I think our plan is to relax & watch movies.
Tomorrow: I'm caving and heading out to pick up a pair or two of maternity pants. I had a pretty good run of avoiding maternity wear, but I need something to bridge the gap to when it's warm enough to wear dresses. I found a pair of jeans and a pair of khakis I like online so I'm going in search. DH and I are going to do belated Irish dinner from St. Patricks, so I'll be making corned beef, cabbage & root vegetables, Irish soda bread and probably sneak a sip or two of his Guiness.
Sunday: The weather is supposed to be awesome, so we're planning on walking downtown to our favorite brunch spot for a long, leisurely brunch in the sun. Afterwards, we'll probably just tool around town and check out some shops- there's a local series of children's books about a cat named Puma that we want to pick up for Sprinkles before we leave town.
Probably some cleaning and whatnot mixed in between the days- some good friends are coming down Tuesday & Wednesday night, so I want to straighten up a bit.

So, here is a flameful confession. I was born and raised in Maine and had never heard of this until this morning. I think M, the little dude and I may go next week simply because he was in such shock that I hadn't heard of it!
But this weekend - not a whole lot planned which I'm glad about as I'm just feeling really tired! Tonight is date night with M but we haven't figured out what we're doing yet. Tomorrow - sleeping in! At some point I will be doing laundry and grocery shopping and possibly getting a new phone if I succumb to the temptation of the upgrade prices.
I had never heard of it until a few years ago, probably from this board, and I've also lived in Maine my whole life. I don't know if it's a regional thing or a recent thing? We've never been, maybe we'll check it out next weekend too.
Quiet weekend, no big plans.
I was born and raised here and didn't hear about it until a few years ago so I wouldn't feel bad.
I actually only went for the first time last year too.
Molly(ie? sorry I can't remember
) Your weekend honestly sounds so perfect!
Tonight-We are headed up to Bangor for a friend of DHs birthday. I am not really looking froward to it as the other females that are going to be there really aren't very nice and are very clique-y.
Tomorrow-No plans during the day(except for an 8a.m vet appt for Copper..yuck) but I think tomorrow night we are going to use a GC we didn't get a chance to use on our honeymoon and head to Damaricscotta to the River Grill for dinner.
Sunday-Is an open day. Maybe get a start on some spring cleaning
Today:
Tried out the meetup club for moms in Kennebunk. It was fun! Went to the beach, home for lunch. Whipping up bread, going for a walk as it rises. Cleaning and to the neighbor's for pizza night. And then spending my $$ on amazon and working on my latest project after Adrian sleeps.
Tomorrow:
Church for most of the day. Probably making whoopie pies or something naughty. And probably exercising so I can indulge. And then working on another project while he sleeps.
Sunday:
DH is working overtime. Boo. He has to, doesnt' want to. So not sure what we'll do. A day with no plans. That's pretty sweet.
House-guest-and-visitor-a-palooza is back in effect! Last weekend was my SIL, the weekend prior was my little sister, the two weekends prior were my parents, my MIL, and my FIL/SMIL (mostly the weekend Ellie was born, but my folks were in town through the following weekend). This weekend is my SFIL, who arrives tonight and leaves Monday morning. We have no idea how to entertain him. If the weather is nice, we may hit the zoo tomorrow or Sunday, or else we may take a ride up the North Shore and hit the Lobster Pool in Rockport. MH and I may sneak out after Owen's bedtime on one of those nights to get a drink. We'll have to bring Ellie, but that's okay, she's easily portable.
YAY FOR FRIDAY!!!
Today: Fabulous weather albeit a little windy....park with Erika and James (so fun!), nap time for abby - putz I mean clean up time for Mama. Picking up Tim from the airport at 5.
Tomorrow: Swim lessons, cleaning for FIL and fiance's visit
Sunday: Church - we are becoming members of our new church! Hence the IL's visit. They are churchly people and are excited to see Abby and visit our church.
off to do dishes!!!!!!! blech
Aw, thanks! I'm really looking forward to some chill time w/ DH after his last 3 weeks @ sea.
I have to admit, I'm a little jealous you're headed to the River Grill this weekend, that place is great!

Tonight: we headed down to Portsmouth with the boys to meet DH's fabulous BFF for dinner and now we are back...
Tomorrow: DH is in camp director mode, so he is at interviews all day... its just me and the boys so we will probably play in the morning and then after nap head up to Portland to pick up their pictures from last week, do a little shopping and maybe catch an early dinner with DH
Sunday: no plans that I can think of... maybe back to Portland to Trader Joes? or I will just do groceries in Sanford...
not much planned here. I need to do laundry and clean our bedroom.
Other than that- just relaxing.
Friday- worked and then hung out at home with Dh while watching DVR'd Parks and Rec, Community, etc. while also chatting with a good friend online for most of the evening... I love mutli tasking!
Saturday- Taping and preparing the trim in the LR for paint. Then I'm going to spend some time Volunteering at the animal shelter. DH will paint while I'm out. Then back home to pick up the house and work on the grocery list for the week.
After that... relaxing for the rest of the weekend. Might take the dog for a long walk on some trails or to the dog park. Also want to catch up on some reading and make some granola bars and soup for the week for work lunch/snack.
