Okay so maybe it isn't a huge deal but last night we were laying around watching The Hangover (which I find moderately funny but what is so dang hilarious is listening to dh laugh I don't even think he realizes I am laughing at him more than anything else) when holy cow I got a really good jab. Then later I got another one that was big enough for me to say "OMG' like the first time I felt a flutter.
I couldn't help myself even though I am only about 22 weeks I planted my hand on my tummy in the same spot for a good hour and I totally felt the smallest little thump.
I so badly wanted to tell dh to try next but I just knew that it wouldn't happen again so I decided not to and give it another couple of weeks (because I am sure that what I felt was coupled with the fact that I could feel it on the inside too).
Re: Aw - baby movement
How exciting! MH has only felt it twice because as soon as he goes to feel, it quits moving. I've had 2 really good jabs - one of them woke me up a couple nights ago.
DD: 6-24-11
EDD: 9-20-14
I can see that happening to me, I get startled very easily in general if someone walks into a room quiety enough I will jump LOL.
I hoped since I have been feeling movement for some time now feeling it on the outside would be quick too, but I don't think that will be the case dh will just have to wait. Oh and she totally does stop moving the minute I try to feel for it.
Welcome to the dark side
Yay! That's wonderful! I bet it was hearing her daddy laugh that made her wanna jab you and say "really, mom? Is daddy going to laugh like that all the time?"
Summer that is exactly when it was happening the most. I seriously wondered if he was startling her but it is so funny to hear him laugh I didn't say anything. I am guessing maybe the combo of his hysterical laughter, my snorting and the amaretto cherry ice cream I had in a chocolate dipped cone was just the right combo for her to start roundhousing in there.
Thanks ladies, the giddiness(sp) carried through the morning.

No that is totally baby women, stop second guessing yourself. Muscle spasm is a really good description. I had a fellow local pregnant nestie just describe it that way to me this morning.
When I got one of my ultrasounds and the baby would move it would feel like that.
it's such a great feeling! james used to yell at me because i would always push down so i would get kicked or punched back. everyone joked that the baby was going to have dents from all the poking!
it took james forever to feel her move b/c she always would stop the second he tried.

You know I think we walked into the Hangover expecting too much, when we went to see Wedding Crashers we hadn't seen any previews and had been surprised with the funny and I think expected the same.
Scott felt her yesterday, his reaction was that it was completely different from what he had expected. He yells at me all the time to stop jiggling her around hee hee.
