Baking/Cooking

Is there something you bake or cook once every week?

We always have taco salads, they are easy and good :)

Lately, we have been having sloppy joes a lot but I dont want that to become a habit.

I bake something different about once a week.  I plan on making banana bread tomorrow, and these for a friend's bday:

(not adding the icing though).

Re: Baking/Cooking

  • I cook the same meals a lot, but I rarely bake.  I wish I baked more, but since it's just the two of us (and since DH gave up sugar for Lent), I end up getting stuck eating all of it myself.  :(

You can freeze most things you bake for later ;)

  • I do feel like I cook the same things all the time. G is a meat and potato kinda man and there are so many receipes I want to try but I know he won't eat them.

I love to bake and I try to bake when it is people's birthday around work. I need to get back into baking though.

  • growing up, i always new the drill -

tuesday night was sonic night and friday night was usually frozen pizza night. taco night and hotdog night were usually pretty common too (can we all just sit and wonder why i'm not 500 lbs??)

with DH - we switch up the menu every week - we have a ton of great cookbooks so we like trying new stuff all the time. if we dont have time to think about what to make the upcoming week, some common staple dinners around here include: tacos, pita pizza, paninis and anything BRINNER (breakfast for dinner - waffles or breakfast burritos, etc)

i really like to bake and try to bake once every week or 2 for an event or for my cw's - however, i RARELY bake the same thing twice b/c i have so many baking books!
