I got a second opinion with a second therapist. He scored so high on everything (his lowest score on 5 tests was 91/100), they didn't think he needed speech at all. I have decided to do once a week for an hour for a month or two on weeks that I don't have a million other appts just so maybe they can teach me ways to encourage. But they aren't worried about him being behind at all. I am taking him on my own free choice because we learned so much the 1st time.
The 1st therapist got all bent out of shape and wanted me to drive an hour and 10 minutes 3x a week for therapy. AND they weren't willing to work around my already existing schedule. I did some research and looky, looky.... turns out my kid was normal after all. Look into the second opinion... worth it for me. But like I have told you, he isn't behind... he's a boy. Well... I guess he will be behind the rest of his life then
