The ups & downs of Craigslist
So this is my first venture selling anything on CL ( I know I am behind the times). I have three things posted right now - the bumbo, the jumperoo, and the exersaucer. What got the first reply? The bumbo - three within three hours and of course the first person hasn't replied to me now. How long do you wait before moving on to inquiry #2? The jumperoo has had one inquiry which I thought it would get multiple inquiries. It is kind of like a garage sale - the stuff people pick up and buy can be surprising and the stuff you thought was the most 'worthy' of being purchased is still sitting there at the end of the sale.
Re: The ups & downs of Craigslist
I respond back to them all, and whomever says they want it I go for it, tell the other people someone responded faster w/ an offer.
Oh yeah! it's crazy! People will pick the strangest things! Really they do. Since you're new to it! CASH ONLY or if they do write a check go right to the bank and cash it!
You can pick a safe meeting place or have them come to your house. My H HATES when I say people can come to my house. lol
Yep, it's an exercise in patience!
I sold my jumperoo on CL last week too. I'm always surprised about the hint of sadness I have when these types of things sell. I'm anxious to get it out of my house, but it's just another reminder that the baby days are over.
