I got the green dress today. So, now that you can see it on, does it look like an old lady dress on me? I want to look the part of the "classy wedding guest", not the MOB.
PS- try to ignore the bad lighting and all of the toys in the background.
Re: Dress Update and Poll
This! I love it and looks great on you!!!
I think it really does look fantastic on you, very classy and the fit is perfect for you. The only thing that slightly bothers me is the color, but I think an awesome necklace would do the trick. Something funky and modern to keep it youthful and fresh. Just my opinion, though. I'm fussy about colors.
(And I know you said you didn't want my opinion because I was supposed to having a baby, but since I am not, you get it anyways
)
Awe, I didn't mean I didn't want your opinion, I meant I wanted your baby girl to be here by now because I remember how much it stinks to be past your due date waiting on a baby!
As for the color, I think it's one of those things where you either love it or hate it. For me, the color was part of what drew me to the dress in the first place. I have blue green eyes and this dress draws out the green in them.

Oh I knew you were just hoping for me I would have had the baby. I remember you were late with E. Remind me again how late you were. Also, did he finally come on his own or did they have to induce?
Also, I guess I should clarify about the color thing. It's not that I don't like that color, I just think that combined with the particular style of dress it makes it a little less youthful than another color would. But then as I said, I am really weird about colors, so don't listen to me
It does go really nicely with your dark hair and pale skin.
I went one week past my due date and then I was induced. I was a little nervous about being induced because everyone says it can make for a longer labor. I was in labor with DD for 44 hours so I definitely didn't want a repeat of that! I was really lucky though. They had me come in at 12:45 am on a Sunday night/Monday morning. They started the pitocin drip at about 2 am, they only had to bump it up one time and I made quick progress. I had DS at 8:11 am. So I was in labor for about 6 hours and I could have had him out after two pushes, but they made me hold him in (no joking) b/c they had to call the OB back.
Do you have a date set for induction yet in the event that you don't go on your own? Were you induced with Beckett? Were you late with him too?
I was 2 days early with Beckett. I never had the first sign of impending labor (not a single Braxton Hicks, no dilation or effacement) with him until my water broke, and 15 hours later he was born after an uneventful and really quite easy labor. This time, I've had it all, but I didn't progress from my last visit to this week's. I go Monday to L&D for a stress test, and if all is good they will let me go until Thurs. without inducing. If there is any problem, obviously it will happen Monday. This doctor suggested we schedule to induce before I was even due (for convience?), but as much as I'd like to get this show on the road, I'd just really like to have it happen on it's own. However, by Thursday if it hasn't happened, I'll be a week overdue and I think I'll just be ready to induce! I am so glad to hear that yours went so quickly since you always hear how much longer it takes when you induce. (And I think that was making up for the 44 hours of labor with your daughter. Yikes.)
I hope things go as smoothly this time as they did with Beckett! Lots of fast and pain-free labor vibes coming your way!
