We are going to tour a local castle tomorrow and it has a history of being haunted. Fun! Wondering who believes in ghosts or not and why? Any personal experiences?
Why ask why, when you know you're going to get a smart-ass answer
Re: Who believes in ghosts?
Yes.
Because how boring for there NOT to be ghosts.
Not anything exciting, just chills and some fun campfire stories
Which Castle are you touring?
The Preston Castle in Ione. It looks beautiful!

I do.
I've felt my mom once after she passed. It was like she came and hugged me when I was crying while talking to her spirit. I felt a warmth wrap around my shoulders and I got the chills slowly down my body to my ankles.
It was amazing.
I do!
Cheeky from this board has done that tour and she had a great time!
I don't believe that we simply move on, I think we can come and go as we please and some people want to hang around and check on their loved ones.
Yep, my mom hangs around our house and lets us know she's here from time to time.
My Grandma visited me after she passed to make sure I was okay, and tell me she was happy and with her children and my grandpa.
I have to admit it, I do. I have heard some wild stories,
One of my friends had a child that died. He was a single dad and his two year old had a sudden onset of diabetes and died in his arms as the ambulance was arriving.
A woman he barely knew from the yoga class he taught (he had brought the daughter and she had connected with this woman) called him the next day, which happened to be Christmas to see if everything was OK. He said "yes" because it was Christmas and he didn't want to ruin her holiday. He asked why? and she said his daughter had appeared to her in a dream saying "tell my daddy everything is OK and he is a good daddy". I still get so teary eyed thinking about it. She had NO WAY of knowing what happened.
Have a great time, sounds really fun!
I do believe in spirits.
I've heard from close friends and relatives of ghosts stories.
And I've experienced some weird dreams in which, I believe, some spirits were trying to communicate something.
i do.
but it creeps me out a whooooole lot. still really interests me though.
This.
Can you do a PIP? I love seeing images of ghosts captured.
Would love to. It's been so long..can you refresh my memory how to PIP?
You can upload the pic to www.tinypic.com and then copy the url into the pop up window that has the tree above.
Ok let's see if this works. The image might be small so you may have to save it and reopen it to be larger to see. There is an image of a mans face in the glass near the chair.
Damn, it's not working. Posting url...maybe you can pull it up that way.

I see it, that is really cool, I'll have to show DH later, he wanted to see it too. Thanks for sharing.
MommyS I see you are local to Sac area. You guys should take the tour some time! My daycare providers husband did the overnight tour and said it was one of coolest experiences ever. He placed his recorder on the floor and left it recording a couple times when they left certain rooms to check out other rooms...when he got home the next morning, he listened to it and apparently as they left one of the rooms...the guide asked if "anyone was here"...and called out a few names of those that died there and you can here a voice say " I am here". They did not hear it that night but apparently was very clear to hear as a whisper on the recording. They played it for my husband and he is now a believer! LOL I haven't had a chance to listen to it but very eager too. Cool stuff!
I will put it on our list of places to visit around here. We moved from the south bay (SJ) about a year and a half ago.
I do, just lots of coincidences from people I know.
Have fun! It seems like it would be a really cool place to go, but I think I'd be way too freaked out afterwards. I really do not want to see dead people!
