I think I remember you posting on the NC Knot board a little bit!  I was katieg5682 over there.  We got married April 12.  Welcome to the Nest!  The SC board is slow, but maybe we can change that.  I usually hang out on the NC Nest board b/c it moves quicker, and because there are several girls in Charlotte there.  But anyways, I just wanted to say hi and I'm in Fort Mill, so we should chat more!

  • Oh Hey!! What a small world!! Yeah; I talked on the NC for a while and then I got caught up in the Month one for the wedding. We got married September 20, so things have been crazy busy trying to get stuff settled down! I didn't realize all the work that went into after the wedding!! I thought the wedding would be the busiest time for us!! Hopefully, things will slow down once we get stuff organized, etc.!

Do you guys own a house in Fort Mill? We are trying to figure out if we want to buy a house in Fort Mill or Rock Hill. How did you guys decide on Fort Mill?

  • We own a townhouse.  I like both areas, but I actually bought the townhouse before we got engaged, and of course DH moved in once we got married (he relocated from Spartanburg).  But I have family in Fort Mill so that was a big reason.  I work in Charlotte, and DH will be working at the CLT Airport starting in December, so FM is just a bit closer.  However, we'll be looking for some land or a bigger home in the next couple of years, and we are considering FM, Clover, and the Lake Wylie area.

I guess it just depends on where you work, how much stuff you want nearby (do you want to walk to the grocery store or drive 15 minutes?), how close you want shopping, restaurants, etc.

Anyways, feel free to ask if you have other questions!!!
