West coast ladies
Have you been hearing anything on your news about the radioactive particles on the west coast?
Do you have have to take any kind of precautions in case this progresses?
I was watching the news earlier this week, and they did a story on Chernobyl all these years later. It is a complete wasteland, devastating. I really hope it doesnt get that bad in Japan.

steph, is guam safe?
not much has been said here. apparently Guam EPA doesnt have a radiation specialist so they were bringing one from the states. this newspaper article mentions "Samples of Guam's air will be collected today and sent to a laboratory in Montgomery, Ala., so they can be analyzed for radioactivity." so in the mean time, we're all just not breathing

we are receiving sailors from japan and i'm sure we'll receive evacuees as well. sadly, i'm sure there are some japanese citizens who are STUCK here for the time being (i.e. they were on vacation when the disaster happened and cannot get home)
