i love making photo books - i've made one for most all our trips (beijing, australia, and just finished hong kong) and will be making one for all of our duty stations too. i just love putting all memories together in one book!!
i have used several different picture book services: kodak gallery, shutterfly, picaboo.... i LOVE picaboo b/c it lets me have SOOO many options. well, i finished making my HK book a couple weeks ago and was just waiting for a good sale. otherwise, the book is $39.99 + 10.99 shipping. tonight i had a $10 off + free shipping - meaning $21 off!!!!!!!!!! (the best i'd seen so far was 30% off, which was $12 off total) i'm so glad i waited for that coupon code!!
Re: saving $$ on photo books
that's great! mom gave me a $100 groupon to picaboo at christmas. I've been trying to get around to making yearly books from the past few years. i started on 2006(!) last weekend. i'm slightly frustrated w/ the design program. I wish I could just design it myself and upload it. it's going to take me foreverr to get it just how I want it w/ the program. not a big deal. I've just gotta focus and get them knocked out.
where do you get the coupons? do they email you? I'd like to pair a good deal w/ my groupon. I have a lot of books to make!
yeah i guess when i made my first book it started emailing me the coupons (which they have one after another - you just have to wait for the one you want........ BOGOs, 30%, 50% off order of $100 or more..........
also their website always has their current coupon listed

picaboo has added some new features that i really like - mostly i like how you have free reign of making pictures bigger or smaller or adding more or less captions - vs. the other services not letting you do that. plus all the background options - you dont just have to stay with one theme if you didnt want to (which i would, but still!!)
