Re: Registering today

  • Good luck today.

I'm actually kind of glad we don't have to deal w/ registering!!

  • Please update when you're done! I've picked out a bunch of stuff online but I'm kind of at a standstill and don't know what else we need. Do you know when your shower is?

I recommend a big fat chocolately-coffee drink as a substitute for alcohol. Big Smile

  • Good Luck! I agree about getting the coffee drink. It'll give u some energy because you're going to need it. Let us know how it goes!

  • Haha!  I'm sorry, not trying to laugh at your expense, I just remember how completely lost we were when we did it.  You must report back!

  • First of all, I'm so jealous that you have a Buy Buy Baby.

Wow, you got a lot done in one day! Awesome!

Just a few thoughts... do you need/want a swing or exersaucer? Decor for the nursery - curtains, lamp, etc? Might want to put more blankets on (cuddly fleece one?). I'd also suggest putting some onesies, gowns, socks, hats, etc on there. Did you have extra sheets for your pack and play on there? Hangers, safety items (outlet covers, drawer latches, etc). Bumbo, shopping cart cover, diaper champ/genie, hamper, baskets, those links for toys, spare membranes for your medela pump.

    That's all I got, lol.

You can get sheets for a pack n play? Crap. Where do I find them? What are they called?

The Exersaucer is being given to us, my cousin has a daughter 13 months older than ours so we'll get hers.

I thought everyone will automatically get the onesies and stuff. I feel like every shower i go to, that's all people buy. Wrong thought process?

We went for this insane contraption http://www.buybuybaby.com/regProduct.asp?WRN=-1220246692&sku=16995908& instead of a traditional swing.

As for the nursery decor...that's Greg's thing, and I think he wants to have the nursery done before the shower. We're not doing a traditional bedding set (it's not modern enough), so I'll let him handle that.

    Here's our inspiration picture....

He's not one for knick knacks or anything. We may get a glider or chair, but we need to set up the room and get an idea of our space before we figure that all out.

    Please keep the suggestions coming!

You can get sheets for a pack n play? Crap. Where do I find them? What are they called? Did you register for a PNP? Just search the name of your PNP and sheets and something should come up. What I originally thought was a PNP when I was scrolling through is your bassinet. I'd recommend an extra sheet for that though, too.

The Exersaucer is being given to us, my cousin has a daughter 13 months older than ours so we'll get hers. Nice!

I thought everyone will automatically get the onesies and stuff. I feel like every shower i go to, that's all people buy. Wrong thought process? Honestly, the only stuff like that I got was off of my registry, even when I thought DH's family would get those items. IMO, it wouldn't hurt just to put a few to get you started. If you get plenty, you can always return dups/what you don't need and put that store credit towards something else (like breast pump and accessories which no one seems to buy! Lol).

We're not doing a traditional bedding set (it's not modern enough), so I'll let him handle that. I'm sure Greg will do an amazing job with the nursery! We didn't go with a traditional bedding set either.

    Here's our inspiration picture....

    Love it!

  • Not sure if you found them yet, but I saw PNP sheets at Target and BRU. I'm sure if you search for them on Amazon, they'll have some for sure. From the reviews I've read, the Graco ones seem to be pretty universal.
