my DH's t-shirts are always stained with deodorant marks I've tried lots of different laundry detergents etc but I can't seem to find anything to take them out. This isn't the normal kind of yellow stain on a white shirt. It's on all of his dark shirts and like a white film almost. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks

Re: Deodorant Stains
YES! this!
I've done a few things:
1. Standard stain removers (no luck)
2. Saturate with vodka and rub together, and wash as normal (came out a little, but not great, and DH might be mad to know I was using his Stoli on this)
3. Pre-treat with a scoop of Oxy-Clean mixed with 20oz of warm water, wash as normal but INSIDE OUT
#3 actually seemed to work when I did it 2-3x in a row (i.e.: after eachtime DH wore a particular shirt for I'd pre-treat it, rub it in, and wash inside out). The stiff plaque-like buildup really seems to be going away.
I have trouble getting my deoderant out of my work shirts. (Kind of a greasy darker build-up.) The only thing I have found to work is put them in my front load wash machine on the sanitary cycle and use regular detergant and fill the bleach dispenser with vinegar.
I tried different deoderants and still had the same problem. I tried everything I could think of. Even used hosehold cleaning supplies, with no luck.
