T&P needed for my niece and nephew

Just wanted to get all the good thoughts possible right now.  My niece and nephew we just born at about 26 weeks.  It is going to be a long road to get them strong, so all the T&P send their way would be appreciated!

Re: T&P needed for my niece and nephew

  • Did you know that there is a preemee board on the Bump. The are alll pretty well read on the  subject and often posts thier success'as well as their failures.

My DD was born at 27 weeks, 3 days  she came out perfecily after 91 days in NNICU and is now 30 years old with two babies that are absolutely perfect.  She never had ONE setback after she  left the hospital.

T&Ps for your friend.  She's right on the very fine line of survival  but I think they will be okay if they get the steroids for the baby's lungs.  That's one  of the first things they do when a womanly comes in early.

  • Thanks!  I did not know that there was something like that on the bump...it will give it try (just so I know what to expect).  I know that my SIL has been on steroids for the past few weeks, while she was in the hospital so I hope that helped their little lungs.

I am glad to hear about your daughter.  I KNOW they are going to be fine, but it is just a bit scary right now!

    Thanks for the support!

  • Thoughts and prayers for your niece and nephew.  I am curious.  How much do they weigh?  Is your SIL okay?
  • The babies we 1 lb15 oz and 1 lb 11 oz

My SIL is ok, she has been in to see them and will just have the "normal" c-section recovery.

    Thanks!

And the Preemie board was great, thanks for the tip!
