Unfortunately yes. My husband heard about it and can be included in the 14 million views (at least that's where it was on Thursday). It's awful, but kind of entertaining when he gets on the floor and tells our dog he has a song to teach her.
I was joking with my corporate communications group that I want Rebecca Black to start singing about my products - yeah it would suck, but it could go viral and maybe there would be some positive result

Wow is right. That is so bad, in so many ways.
Any publicity is good publicity? They said her song broke into the iTunes Top 100 above "real" artists. She said on the news yesterday that she feels cyber bullied and has been receiving death threats.
The whole irony of this awful song is that since I've been making fun of it for a week... it's been stuck in my head for 24 hours!! I can't make it stop!! Help!
My favorite part is when she starts talking about "yesterday was Thursday, tomorrow is Saturday, and Sunday comes next!" or whatever. Yay! Somebody knows their days of the week!

Truely a horrible song (the video isn't much better, lol). It's straight out of autotune hell and has the awful abillity to get stuck in your head for hours.
Just goes to show you that if your parents have the money, you can pretty much do whatever you want, regardless of if you actually have talent.

Also, what is up with the rapper guy in the middle? I feel bad for that guy. He might actually have some talent and want a career, but he's never going to live this one down. He's really jammin' in his car like he's ready to cruise over to that 13 year old's house and get his party on.
And who does a 13 year old know that drives a car? And what parent of even the most modest amount of competence is allowing 13 year olds to cruise over to parties with 16+ year olds on a Friday night?
I'm becoming an uncool mom really fast.

I read that the rapper guy is one of the writers of the song (Eek), plus he's part owner (or something) of Ark Music Factory, the company that made this whole thing possible. Their website had videos from other kids and he's in most, if not all of them!
And that was one of my first thoughts too-- why are her 13-year-old friends driving?
Ok, that is even weirder. Now I feel sorry for that guy that he is so pathetic that the only way he can get into a music video is to make one himself and insert his "rap" into pop songs sung by tweens.
