Sick day guilt?
I'll start by saying that I'm really, genuinely sick. I'm freezing cold, sweaty, nauseous, and ache-y all at the same time. So why do I feel guilty calling in sick today?

I do the same thing. I had to call in to go in late on Monday because I had to take my kittens to the vet. My boss was still kinda b*tchy about it. I was like, "Look, my cats their mom. I'm not coming in until noon."
I still felt bad.

LOL. ?When I was applying for clerk positions I checked the attorney's memberships on Martindale. ?I left on some Republican info (Congressional internship, book research, etc.) only if it was obvious that they were Republicans.?
That's actually really funny major... I actually do have a gyno appt. today. I haven't rescheduled it yet. I'm hoping I feel like a human before 2.

dude, guilt is a useless emotion! don't even worry about it. i swear, i've had the plague for the last week. i called in sick tuesday. best thing i coulda done. don't even think twice about it.
now go watch some price is right!
I tend to feel like a whiny wimp when I call in sick, but sometimes you have to do it. I felt like death warmed over on Monday so I took a sick day. I slept all day...I would have been useless and miserable at work. And I am still battling the bug.
In the grand scheme of things it is just one day!
You sound like you are getting the flu and as such, of course you should stay. Guilt won't make you feel better.
