Re: Family swimming help?

  • There is a YMCA on bloomingdale the Valrico end that I know someone that goes there and loves it. There is another one by Nativity Church I can't remember the name of it but i've heard good things about them also.
  • I am a member of the YMCA in Valrico that the PP speaks about.  I'm actually on the Master's swim team there as well, so I'm very familiar with their pool.  There is normally atleast 1 lane open in the lap pool for families to 'fluff' around and then there is the kiddo pool/park with slides, etc.

I think it is a great pool, and I think very highly of the ymca.  It is kinda pricey to join, but with the gym membership and the childcare services it is worth it.

Well, if you come to work out, they will watch your kids for up to 2 hours I think.  It might be 90 minutes.  (I don't have kids yet, just get the scoop from friends.)  Also once a month there is parents day out where you do get free babysitting and you don't have to be at the Y working out or swimming.  You can drop off your kids for a few hours, go on a date, and then pick them back up.
