Make anything good on this rainy weekend?
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

Re: Sunday baking/cooking
Yep, I made the stuff I promised DH for his bday. We had to reschedule it for this wknd. I made Guinness Beef Stew and Guinness Chocolate Cake. He loved it and is eating the leftovers now. I have pictures here at the bottom of the album:

I made macaroni and cheese from scratch yesterday that turned out okay.
DH made chocolate cookies with cherries that were very yummy
Something must be in the water because I made 6 baby shower cakes this weekend. Only 1 boy. Looks like the world will be becoming very pink!!!
Today I am making pot roast using my trusty slow-cooker. MMMM
Hope everyone has a great week! stay dry!
Have you ever tried truffle salt on popcorn? OMG sooo good! or on french fries with a little parm cheese. yummy!!

I would gladly take some off of your hands. I LOVE Marmalade
This weekend I made:
brownies, crab cakes, the infamous roasted broccoli (added parm. cheese this time and it was heavenly), mashed cannelli beans, crash hot potatoes, taco soup, and tomato soup.
I am going away this weekend and I need to have food on hand for DH. Yes, he is a big boy and I know can take care of himself but if he had it his way, he would eat out every night I am not there.
Tons! We hosted brunch on Sunday for Purim, and I cooked up a storm. Most everything came from smitten kitchen:
Fruit salad with vanilla yogurt and walnuts (an Alton Brown recipe I've altered over the years)
Cream scones with lemon curd
Braided lemon bread
Breakfast potatoes
Shakshuka
Hamantaschen
Chicken apple sausage for the carnivores
Mimosas and coffee
It was amazing... I am still full
If you need something different to make, I just made some lemon curd this weekend and it was amazing... See my post above for recipe link. Make sure you strain it.
Sorry
No worries. I'll just have to buy some and eat it. Funny, I just tried to Google it to figure out what exactly it is. First I accidentally typed in "lemon crud," and then when I tried to correct it I typed in "lemon cud." I LOL-ed at myself.

I just LOL'ed at you too. It's funny that you typed that because at brunch on Sunday, DH announced to everybody at the table that he didn't like the word "curd." So he started calling it lemon slop. And then my brother called it lemon goop. And I told them they would get no more so they stopped, and my friend intervened and named it lemon perfection
Perfect!
