Sister Wives
Did anyone watch tonight and catch that Janelle's mother is married to Kody's father? So Kody and Janelle's kids are doubly related to their grandmother since she is their grandma and step grandma. What a complex family tree. It looks like next week Robyn might be getting the boot, but it's probaby just creative editing to make it look more exciting.

I watched the 8:00 to 9:00 episode (YAY for gym tv), so I missed out on the big news. I would be interested to see how their family tree does look with that latest tidbit of info. And why would Robyn be getting the boot? During the 8 to 9 episode it sounded like they were going to be moving in to a bigger house or expanding in order to bring her under the same roof as the rest of the family (she's the new wife, right?).
I find it to be a very interesting look in to what life is like in a polygamist family. It's not my belief and I don't understand it fully, but I also feel like it is their religion and they can practice how they chose. I'm a little irritated but the investigation that gets launch against these families. I know it is against the law, but it's a part of their religion. Freedom of religion anyone?

I have never seen this show but it intrigues me. I may give in eventually and start watching. Although I am very much a "to each their own" type I seriously don't understand wanting to marry a man who already had 3 wives at home!
This post made me chuckle though because my father's father used to be married to my mother's mother. That's actually how my parents met (they were NOT children at the time!). They later divorced. And my dad has just the one wife (my mom), haha.
I've been thinking about this too. As long as the kids are not be harmed, abused etc I'm not sure how it is much different than multiple families living together under one room aside from there only being 1 dad instead of 4. I think there are moral values associated with it, but legal I'm not so sure.
