OK, I'm gonna take the first step, this is so unlike me.
I've posted here a few times and gotten some great responses, you all seem like a great group!
I'm new to the area and don't know anyone, would anyone be interested in a GTG sometime?
I've been sitting here bored all weekend while my BF is out for a guys' weekend and I feel totally lame. I'm tired of not having any friends! I wanted to go to the St. Patrick's Day parade dammit, not gotten a phone call from him about how many people were there and what a great time they were having. Total bummer. I want a night where I can say "Sorry BF, you're on your own, I'm going out with the ladies!"
I've noticed a few newbies on the board so I thought it was worth a shot.
Re: GTG
Good for you for taking the initiative! I've been too lazy about organizing anything until it gets warmer
My problem is that for a weeknight GTG I can really only do things in the Waltham/Watertown/Newton and maybe Burlington areas and the earliest I could do would be 6:30/6:45pm. A lot of parameters, I know, so if it happens to work out once you pick a date and location, I'm in.
I'd love the chance to meet you ladies! My schedule is fairly flexible, so I can usually work around anything.
Yay! I'm excited!

Yes, definitely! I'd like this!
Either further south or somewhere T accessible would be great.

I have trouble getting in to the city in the evening (I live closer to Providence than Boston) since DH isn't home until after 5:30, so by the time I'd be able to get out of the house and into the city, it would be late. Braintree or Dedham would be best for me! (Just FYI... I know I'm in the minority so I don't expect it to be out of the way of public transit for me haha)
Same goes for me!
So to kind of sum things up... must be T accessible, later in the evening, probably west or south of the city.
is this right?
just to throw something out there, how about if we did something around 7/7:30 in the Newton area? depending on what part of newton we pick, it would either be accessible by green line or commuter rail.. plus the nice thing about being outside of the city is that we don't really have to worry too much about parking for those of us driving in.
any other ideas? dates that work?

Your summary sounds about right to me.
Newton at 7:00/7:30 is perfect for me. We were going to do a Cabot's GTG once but it didn't work out. I'd be up for that. The commuter rail isn't far from there and it's right off the Pike. I don't really know what's around the Newton T stops so I'll let someone else throw out ideas for those locations.
The only nights that definitely don't work for me are Thursdays (except for 3/31, that actually does work).
