We're re-doing B's bathroom so it's more gender neutral and flows a bit better with the girly nursery stuff (since its attached).. I can't decide which rugs I like better with it though.
The shower curtain is the Pottery Barn Kids Taylor (on sale for $20!!) and the darker rugs are from PBK and the lady there said that's what she'd use. I wasn't sure if they were too dark though, so I ran by Target and found the lighter ones. The lighter ones match the shower curtain almost perfectly, but I still kind of think I like the dark ones. What do you think?
We're painting the bathroom the lighter green color that's in the shower curtain and then adding different pink/blue accents for each of the kids and are planning to take down the big mirror and replace it with 2 smaller ones above each sink, then probably paint the cabinets white as well. Good ideas?
Edited to add the pictures.. oops

Re: which rugs?
It's funny - the darker ones match the stitching and accents on the animals perfectly and the lighter ones match the main color of the animals. I keep going up there and looking at them and I still can't decide. I may try to paint the bathroom one night this week and see if that makes a difference.
Crap! I didn't even notice the rugs were 2 different shapes! I guess my suggestion to pick one from each is a big fail. I suck at decorating, wanna come finish my guest bath that will be the baby's bathroom?? All we have do (since we moved in) was painted the wall, chair rail and have a matching shower curtain/rug/towel set.
I wash my bathmats once a week or so, and notice they do tend to fade over time... so if you'll be washing them you might consider that?
One of my girlfriends mentioned that - the Target ones have the rubbery stuff on the back that starts cracking and gets funky when you wash it often. The PBK ones are just fabric stitching stuff on the back, so they'd probably hold up better.
Yeah, the mats with the rubbery backing seem to need to be replaced sooner in our house. I tend to try to ari dry them outside if it is nice and sunny instead of throwing them in the dryer and that seems to help them last a little longer.
I'm not a huge fan of individual rugs in the bathroom.
I'd prefer something like this:

So cute! Where did you get this one? It matches our nursery bedding and would be great in our guest bath.
Let's try this again...
It's the "enchanted modern rug" from Target. There are actually a few like this with the same green trim and outdoorsy theme in the kids' rug section.
great! thanks.
I totally though of your nursery bedding when I saw this!
K&A: I like the darker rugs.
Wow, I'm all sorts of odd man out on this one.
Given those two options, I like the light rugs better.
But really I'm not a fan of the two different colored rugs. I'd personally go with a green rug and maybe leave the walls neutral.
