Does anyone color their hair themselves at home?
What brand do you use?
Is it a color/highlight combo or a 30 day wash or what?
I've colored my hair myself for along time and I've always had great results. For the past few years I've done the base color and then added highlights to it. I'm getting tired of how long it takes to do both. For me, I think doing a base color is just too plain. So, I'm curious to see what others use.
Re: hair color
I don't color my hair at home either unless I get tired of the highlights and my roots showing and want to go dark again.
I used to use the Revlon cheap $2.99 dye and it worked the best for me.
I do mine at home but not with a box color. I go to a beauty supply store (like ones hairdressers go to and get stuff) and I buy the color and then the developer and mix it my self.
So the brand of color I but is either Ion Color Brilliance Semi-Permanent Creme Hair Color or Clairol Professional Liquid Permanent Hair Color. The developer I use is always the same brand, Salon Care Creme Developer in 20 volume or if I am using a lighter hair color I use the 30 volume. It's really easy and alot better quality than a box. But I also only do an all over brown, no highlights or lowlights or lights of any kind.
