Happy Monday Y'all

How was your weeekend?  Anyone do anything exciting?

We got to see one heartbreaker and one blow out at the NCAA games we had tickets to.

I also got my quilt top for the Crafts Board Quilt Along almost finished- I need to add the side borders and then I can iron, sandwich and start to actually quilt it.

My sorority sister is coming in today for 2 days of her Spring Break from law school, so I'm excited about that.  My house is only marginally clean at best, but oh well.

Re: Happy Monday Y'all

  • I did nothing but read all weekend. I ended up with a horrendous cold. It sucks.

  • It started off with an awesome NCAA game on Friday, and ended with a supremely painful one last night.

And I've decided the novelty of the alone time I gained when DH switched jobs is wearing off.  I miss my husband.  :(

Boo rainy Monday.  I'm way negative today, and really wanted to sleep and cuddle with this morning's thunder storm, not wake up and walk around in it.

  • I went to L&D late Sat night bc I thought it was baby time. It was not. I'm bored and just waiting.
Baby, you've got the sort of eyes that tell me tales...

Gah me too. And I'm very grateful and happy to have such wonderful and concerned family and friends but if one more person asks me if the baby is here yet or how I'm feeling 15x a day I'm gonna throat punch someone.

  • Friday I hung out with my best friend who lost the baby and my sister and we got drunk. We put on comfy pants, ate brie, chips and double stuf oreos and we each put down at least a bottle and a half of wine. It was therapeutic :o) Then I slept at her place on the most uncomfortable pull out couch of all time and woke up Saturday without a hangover but with the worst back pain ever.

Saturday we went to the gym and ran a ton of errands..did dinner kind of early and I passed out at 9:30.

Sunday I went to the gym and then to a baby shower with a bunch of friends which turned out to be much more fun than I imagined...the rest of the day was pretty boring though.

Boo. A friend of mine had her baby this weekend two weeks early. We blammed it on the full moon. I was hoping you'd have similar luck. Go for a run or eat spicy food or have sex. Big Smile

I had a very exciting weekend: went to a Japanese steakhouse with Robin's family, took our niece and nephew to the spring carnival at my school, went shopping, ate pizza, went to church and saw 7 people baptized, stocked up on $1.99lb chicken breasts, and then FSU made it to the sweet 16 (I don't care about this, but Robin was super happy.)

  • My weekend was relatively lackluster as is the week to follow. Lots of couch sitting and laundry doing. We went to the IL's for a belated St. Patrick's Day family dinner which was fun despite dinner being served two hours late!

Sad to say but the highlight of the weekend was watching the HP marathon on ABCFamily and seeing the preview for Deathly Hallows Part 2 and watching The Fighter last night.

I'm taking advantage of lull in our social life since come the end of April I have nothing but showers and weddings and Christenings to go to for the next six months!

  • My weekend consisted of sitting around waiting for Doug's inconsiderate a-hole friends coming over...which never happened.

I'm so jealous of your friend! I've tried all those minus the run. I don't run lol. Right now I'm bouncing on a fitness ball while watching teen mom. Classy.

  • I spent all Friday decorating my friends house for her 5 year olds birthday party (since I pretty much planned the whole theme 'Jive into Five' a 50's party complete with costumes, little cheeseburger sliders and rootbeer floats!). I was staying the night, so I stayed up talking with her amazing family until almost 3 in the morning! Didnt really go to sleep until 4... Then woke up at 8:30 to start setting up for said party, keeping the party going and cleaning after the party. Her family is amazing so I didn't mind one bit, but man did my immune system take a hit... Spent all day Sunday taking naps, drinking tea and eating soup and crackers.
  • We had a pretty uneventful weekend -

Friday- went to a March Madness party where everyone was so drunk even my semi drunk husband was annoyed. We left early and hit a late night dinner.

Saturday we had maternity pictures taken. Started at 10 am and didnt finish until 4:30- WOW long day. I cannot wait to see the pictures. We are super excited for them. Saturday night we continued the never ending task of packing and cleaning the apartment and crashed early.

Sunday- small get together for lunch to celebrate with a friend who just announced her pregnancy. it was pretty lame I must say- no one really wanted to be there. We went home and continued to take apart furniture... I am officially the slowest packer pregnant and its no fun. My feet were huge last night so I just count it as a win that I made it as far as I did.

  • had a busy weekend actually, mostly revolving around making two batches of complicated cake pops for a birthday party.  Yesterday we went to said bday party (at the skating rink, woot!), ran errands, and spent the afternoon cleaning up the house trying to get ready for the Green Mile party this weekend.

    This made me laugh.

    My weekend was quiet.

    Friday, met H for dinner.

Saturday, Woke up too early to drop the car off at the dealer to get the window checked, came home and did 5 loads of laundry, cleaned a bit of the apt, my SIL came over to go for a run (she's running the Boston Marathon 5K with H and I and she's never run outdoors before so she wanted someone to run with...it was fun but we were going veerryyyy slowly....), then I went to Kohls and got some new workout clothes, H & I went to Whole Foods for some of their awesome frozen salmon and had that for dinner with some rioja.

Sunday, I was feeling so lazy and exhausted. Finally got off the couch at like 12:30 and went for my 4-mile run, which was really good. I kicked ass. And then I was exhausted and sore for the rest of the afternoon. H and I went for a walk around the neighborhood, looking at houses and dreaming about the future when we can move. Then, grocery store and BJs. Oh, and I picked up my allergy prescriptions and did a little happy dance at the counter. I used to have a co-pay of $30 each, and with H's new amazing insurance plan, they were only $10 each. Sweet. (It's truly the little things in life that make you happy.)

  • Friday, I had dinner with Michael and one of our friends. Michael was "noticed" by a fan which was hysterical.

Saturday, I had a family party at my parents' house. I made penne a la vodka (yum). My family is awesome, so we had lots of fun.

Sunday, we went to mass, then up to MILs house because my uncle was going to take some furniture. Then we just hung around our place bc I wasn't feeling great.

  • My weekend felt nothing like a weekend. On Friday I had my cousins over. We made margherita pizza, watched A Young Victoria, and had popcorn and M&Ms.

Saturday, I got up early to take one of the girls to this free prom dress event at 8 am. Then I went and spent 7 hours hauling, reorganizing, and rearranging our storage at church. I was super tired and just wore out after that. I went home, and went to bed. Woke up after a nightmare. Sucked, because Anwar went to a friend's house to watch UFC crap. So I was alone. I was really glad when he got home.

Sunday, I was up early for church. I was all sore and achy from the moving the day prior. After church I went shopping with a few girls at church for their salsa event next week. I scored a great dress at the Gap in the meantime.

I went home, then painted for my Guatemala fundraiser and Anwar and I watched Malcolm X. That movie is so long. 3 hours.

  • Weekends go by so fast.

Friday H and I didn't do much, had pizza and relaxed.

Sat I got up early went to the mall and used my 30% give and get coupon on some news clothes for post baby body and then went to lunch with my mom. When I got home H was watching movies so I joined him, later we went to dinner at Ruths Chris for restaurant week and it was delicious.

And finally yesterday we went out to lunch with my friend and then we all went and saw Limitless which I thought was pretty good plus Bradley Cooper is hot.

  • Friday - we had poker at a friend's house and then had some couple fun

Saturday - I worked all day and then crashed when I got home

Sunday - relaxed and went to his mom's/grandmom's for dinner

    :-)

  • It was a good weekend. Saturday I did all the stuff on my schedule and going out for BFF's birthday was super fun- and we took advantage of Clint's iphone to search for parking garages in Harvard Sq, find out their hourly rates, and then get driving directions to one. We saved time and money parking there, and I felt really tech-savvy ;)

Yesterday we cleaned the kitchen. I don't think it's looked this good since we moved in- and I haven't even touched the countertop clutter yet!

I'm still trying to shake this sinus infection, but I feel much better than last week.

  • All days are pretty much blurred together for me, but weekends are nice because Joel is home during the day.

Saturday: We had a get togehter with our Bradley instructor and two other couples that had taken the class the session before we did.  It was really nice to hang out with others with newborns and sharing our birth stories.  Also in general human interaction was fabulous!  After that my aunts came over to meet Alex and hung out for a couple hours.

Sunday: We just relaxed.  Joel cleaned for a while and I baked chocolate chip cookies.

  • The weekend started off okay. Danny & I went shopping Saturday morning. Then my sister came over after work to shower (sewer problem at my parent's house) and stayed late. We hung out and had fun.

Sunday was okay. Started it off at 5:15am with Danny waking me up to tell me the police were on the way. Someone broke into our cars. They took all of the money out of Danny's console and took his PSP (which he keeps in the car for emergencies). They didn't take anything from my car though. When the borough police showed up the officer said, around 1am he noticed the interior light in Danny's car was on and saw some kids (16-18-ish) walking up the sidewalk. He followed them and they went into a bar. He knew they weren't old enough to drink, so he waited for them to come out. When they did, they took off running down the alley and the cop lost them in people's backyards. We figure they didn't get anything from my car because the cop scared them before they could open the door. My passenger door was unlocked and I NEVER leave my doors unlocked.

But then the day got better. We took the dogs for a walk, did some cleaning/laundry, made dinner and then chilled the rest of the night.

that sucks!! Were your cars damaged?

  • wamo--No, they weren't damaged. We couldn't even find any marks from them jimmying the locks open. Even though Danny lost his PSP, we were really lucky. They could have taken the cars. Except we don't think they were very smart criminals...they left Danny's checkbook. (Even though it was one he closed about 3 years ago, but still, who leaves an entire book of checks, but steals 8 dollars in change?)

Danny makes me laugh though. He's 26, but sounds like he's 62: "Kids these days going around and stealing things....and on a SUNDAY too. Doesn't anyone have any respect nowadays?!" Stick out tongue
