PG Check In!

I can't believe I have only 10 weeks left!!

Kelly, How was your baby shower?

How are you ladies feeling?

Are any of you thinking about cloth diapering?  We were looking into before even TTC, but decided against it because our pit eats poo, and a foreign body removal surgery is expensive! But I still really want to do it, so I've started researching it again. And I found a couple of solutions that may make it plausible for us. I'm excited! Dh was 100% on board when we were talking about diaper hybrids, but now I'm trying to get him to go 100% cloth, so we'll see what happens.

My overly happy baby girl!

  • I can't believe you only have 10 weeks left too Mar!

ETA: I don't think we're going to be doing cloth diapering.

Ok here. A little upset because I feel like I'm gaining too much weight too quickly. I don't like that my face is getting fat. As much as I want to eat well and continue my workouts, I find myself to be becoming lazy.

I am however happy to report that I'm finally convinced that I'm feeling her move. I've been feeling things all day today. Took her long enough!

On a funny note...a couple of mins ago, Rob lifted up my shirt to look at my belly and he exclaimed "hey your belly button's disappearing!" lol and soon it's going to be poking you in the eye mister!

  • Dani I think you look great!

Mar, enjoy your last 10 weeks!

I am doing good. I know it is hard to tell in my bump picture I posted on Friday but it is getting super hard to hide this kid. I am so glad I am coming out to everyone in a week. I am over wearing frumpy clothes that make me look fat and ready to wear cute stuff that shows off my belly.

I have my next OB appointment on Wednesday and I am so excited. I can not wait to go in and make sure the baby is okay. I am sure it is but I am just a worry wart and it has been 4 weeks since I lost saw it.

I think we will be doing cloth diapers. It will be easier because I will be a SAHM and no one else will really have to deal with them. My mom is already refusing so I do not care if she uses disposables. I have started researching them because they are so overwhelming.

No joke! SIL has just started using BumGenius 4.0 and loves them. I think we're going to use the new Fuzzibunz one size, there's elastic in the leg holes, and back waist band to make it 100% adjustable. We'll also be using disposable/flushable diaper liners so we can just plop the poo in the toilet and have minimal mess to wash. I showed Damian everything tonight, and he's up for it. I'm excited. Its a fair bit of money up front, but I think the pro's are worth it.

I like the disposable diaper liners too. I still have some research to do and my friend who has a 2 month old and I need to talk about them, but I am really liking the idea of them. I know they are a bit of money up front but then you are done buying diapers and can reuse them for other kids.

  • Doing okay, very very happy to be back in the kitchen again.

22 weeks today and yesterday after we got home from all of our running around I decided after some pretty strong movement to see if dh would be able to feel her move, and he did. He said he thought it would feel different/stronger. I am pretty sure I am feeling light pressure here and there when she changes positions now too, it is different from the little jabs and kicks but very noticeable.

  • Alicia, how are you going to tell the parents?

So excited for you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay

  • Couldn't check in all weekend because I was busy at my parents house.

Feeling pretty good.  14 weeks now and officially hit second trimester yesterday.  The morning sickness is pretty much gone.  Just tired still.  I can feel my energy returning but it's not quiet getting through the exhaustion.

Bump is starting to round out instead of the big bloat look.  My mom said I actually look pregnant and not bloated/fat.  My niece was disappointed I didn't have the big third tri belly.

DH is getting more excited every day.

Also, on a funny note, I found out that my dad is totally creeped out by baby bellies and won't touch them, even in a hug.  It was funny to watch him.

Oh bummer, sorry you were so sick!  I also had onion rings yesterday, it was almost an emergency that Blair go get them for me.  :)  Good luck at your appt tomorrow!

Dani...you are beautiful and glowing, don't be down on yourself!

I am 37 weeks today, only a few weeks left!  I had to go on bed rest on Friday, my blood pressure was borderline high (I think because of all my family stress).  I've been off my feet as much as possible all weekend but am getting really bored.  They did another sonogram on Friday after my BP was up just to make sure everything was okay, and baby looked great.  He's 7lbs, yikes!  My doctor said that if my cervix is starting to progress at my appt on Thursday then she will get a little more aggressive in helping my labor along, so hopefully baby will come a little early.  I'm fine with that!

  • I was supposed to have my glucose test this morning but the nurse couldn't get a vein in either arm, so I have to reschedule.  I don't know what the problem was, I've never had an issue getting blood drawn, never bruised, etc.  Now my one arm is incredibly sore; I'm pretty annoyed.

I also feel like most of this pregnancy I've been sad.  I don't know why, but I'm just not myself.  I think I'm just too scared to get excited - idk, maybe this is normal and once he/she is here, I'll bounce back.

We ordered the rug for the nursery on Saturday but it wont ship until the middle of April - boo.  I also have a new belly pic of when I was 25 weeks but tinypic isn't working so I can C&P - as soon as I figure it out, I'll post it.

Sorry to hear this :(  Hopefully, as you get further along, you will stop being sad and be excited!  Hugs!

I felt like that too. I actually posted a couple weeks ago about being in a funk. I was about where you are now week wise. It's getting better as we get closer, and throwing myself into all things baby has helped. But I hear ya! I think it's just hormones, with realizing it is a huge change (although we all want it) to our lives and they will never be the same.

I'm positive it'll be better after our LO's arrive! Hang in there J!
