I mostly lurk on this board...
I've lived in S. Jersey for about 2 years now (Cherry Hill area) and DH and I are going to TTC at the end of the summer. I wanted to start looking around now for daycares to get an idea of what they cost and what their waiting lists may be like.
Can anyone reccommend a good one? So far the only place anyone has told me about is Kindercare in Cherry Hill. Its in the opposite direction of both of our commutes...but if that is the only real viable option we'd have to leave 15 minutes early to get the future kid there...not a big deal. I have one good friend down here, who happens to have also moved here from the area we are both from. She doesn't have kids either so I'm having some trouble.
My DH isn't from this area either...so I'm definitely at a loss. ![]()
I looked online and Discovery learning center in Cherry Hill gets decent reviews...anyone know about them?
Re: Can you rec some day cares?
The Bump board is slower than this one, sadly.
I'd ask women at your work or women who work in your area.
My friend from Cherry Hill is enrolling her son at a Jewish daycare (she isn't Jewish, though her H is non-practicing) and although she said the religious spin is a little more than she was prepared for, it isn't bad and there is a ton of science, math and reading being done that more than made up for it.
My advice as having just gone through it is to look up the state licensed infant daycares (there's a .gov site that's easy to find via google) and start visiting them. Believe me when I say you will get a real gut feeling about each and every place. Good and bad.
