If you could teach anything, what would it be?

Re: Question of the day
Ummm probably physical science, physics, astronomy, and forensic science. Oh wait!!! I already do teach all that!!!! It really depends on the lesson/unit which is my favorite to teach each day. Currently I am loving teaching my physics class because we are learning about Fluids (buoyancy, pressure, flow, etc) which I find fascinating mostly because of the magnitude of practical applications.
I used to teach anatomy, which was hard the first few years, but I loved teaching it and I miss it now.
Mastering Horcruxes 101
Advanced Dark Arts
I would teach art.
Toss the kids some crayons, pencils, paint and markers and tell them to make the most obnoxious thing EVER.
It'd be awesome.

I'd go for teaching teenage girls common sense things that don't get covered elsewhere. For example:
1. Wearing skanky clothing at 15 *will* get you a guy, but won't keep one. Instead you are likely to have a revolving door of them.
2. Makeup - less is more. Unless you're goth (which is okay) blondes should not wear 4 layers of mascara and huge amounts of black eyeliner.
3. Personal finance - let's calculate the amount of $ you'll make over your lifetime with a college education, as opposed to if you get knocked up in high school and drop out. Also, let's calculate the amount of interest you'll pay if you get into $20K of credit card debt.
4. Boys generally want to have sex with you. What does a boy mean if he says "he really likes you and wants to mess around, but doesn't want to be your boyfriend?" He wants to have sex with you without a commitment.
I think a class on this might have girls better set up for life, and be rewarding that they might learn something that shapes their life.

That would be so much fun! Good idea!
You took the words right out of my mouth!!
I'm with Kenna. I'd also like to teach girls that the models/actresses in the magazines are usually airbrushed and they have the same insecurities we do. I'd like to teach teen girls that they are all beautiful no matter what size or shape.
The first time I went to college this was actually a huge interest of mine...wrote papers on anorexia, self esteem, etc.
While the idea of teaching makes me simultaneously break out in hives and have a grand-scale panic attack, I commend those who are so much stronger than me. You really do a great service.
That said, if I had to teach something, I would teach the art of living without bulllsh*tting oneself. Too many people have no idea how to take personal accountability for things these days, and spend most of their time blaming others for the things going wrong in their own lives.
Yep, I'm just a ball of freaking sunshine today, huh?
Honestly? I have no freaking clue. haha.
Maybe that is why I don't want to be a mother. I can't teach anything! haha.
Kenna! Good answer!
