so we have a hot tub that we're trying to get rid of. we have never used it (was there when we moved in) and the siding is starting to warp so it's becoming unsightly (it's on our deck).
so i saw this ad for someone on craigslist near me who was giving away their hot tub. it's expensive to remove a hot tub, so i'd rather give it away (I don't know enough about it to sell, and it's at least 10 years old). so i emailed the person on craiglist to see if they had any takers for theirs, explaining that we have one to give away, too, and i was wondering if they had gotten any responses.
so the lady emails me back and is like, hi! the first person who contacted me hasn't responded, so if you're still interested it's yours.
so i email back that no, i don't want one, i already have one... bla bla blahhhhh.
so she responds:

I am so so sorry... the first person emailed me, it turned out her first email ended up in my spam mail and I didn't see it. I feel like an idiot....
