lawn mushrooms

Anyone dealt with these and were successful in removing them? They are so unsightly & I'm afraid they are poisinious to my dog. Also, if they are poisionous, should I avoid composting them? They are fungi, but I don't wanna kill my wormies! Thanks.

  • The mushrooms are the fruiting body of the fungus that lives in the ground.  If you don't want it to spread, pick them before they dry out.  Otherwise, as Dr. Loretta said, they will dry up and go away all on their own.
