I can't get it up for work today.
I am having the worst time recuperating from all of the travel/debauchery from BFF's bachelorette weekend. I am too old to be doing that isht. Also, my feet look like I ran them through a grinder. WTF did I think new heels + drinks + STOMPING/jumping/dancing = good idea. I am wearing 1/3 box of band-aids right now.
Oy. I am taking today really, really slowly. Hoping I can spring into full action after lunch.
Re: I can't get it up for work today.
Was it worth it?
That is what I always ask myself. More times than not, yes it was. If for nothing else than you were there for your BFF.
This reminds me of the last bachlorette party/wedding I attended. I broke in my heels dancing at the Bachlorette party. No problems there, so I thought I was good to go for the wedding. But at the wedding I wore tights with the heels, and it made them very slippery and it hurt my feet something fierce. I woke up with no feeling in my toes on my right foot, and the sensation still comes and goes intermittently. Yeah, hoping I get full sensation back someday soon...
I often wonder how I went out on a regular basis during my college days. I don't think that lifestyle is physically possible for me anymore.
Hope your feet feel better soon! Comfortable shoes are underrated.
Baby Macy is here!

Of course! I got to see my BFF, meet some new chicas, and hang out with some of my old friends. I wore a hot dress, hotter shoes, and dance my ass off. I also tried eleventy billion new beers, which was super yummy. We had such a good time that it makes me want to move up north. The one night of 20-degree weather changed my mind, though.
I think that for a long, long time, I could not feel my feet thanks to the drinks. But once we were sitting in the cab, I knew I would be walking the rest of the way home barefoot. In 20 degree weather. And I did, for quite a few blocks. Eventually, an equally drunk and incredibly kind frat boy tossed my fat ass over his shoulder and toted me the last 3 blocks home. I guess chivalry is not 100% dead after all.
Jen, we stayed mostly in Brookline.

I hear it is such a work out and it totally leaves you bruised! I didn't know pole dancing was so rough!
This is cool and I am glad you had a great time!! I wish I had more single friends who were getting married. I miss wedding party down days!
