I am paint challenged. It's the reason my living room is orange instead of a nice neutral sandy color. I am also no pro at coordination. So, if you were an expectant mother, didn't want to paint your new girl's walls pink, and were using the following as inspiration, what color would you use on the walls:
I know this is very broad, but I'm really open to anything except pink.

Re: Help me pick paint
First of all...love love LOVE that bedding. So sweet and cute! Secondly, I'd go with a pale green. You couldn't definitely do the yellow as well though. HTH.
Agreed.
I think you should paint the walls the light blue color, and have white furniture.
LOVE the inspiration photo, by the way.
ETA: For this kind of a look:
I forgot to add that the furniture is already bought, and it's about the same color as the tree in the picture, maybe a bit darker. hang on...like this ETA: We have not bought the bedding yet
My initial thought was light green on the walls, but I like the taupe idea as well. Do you think either would still look right with dark furniture?
I still like the taupe even with dark furniture. I'd just go for a lighter taupe than what I was initially picturing. Let me see if I can find an example to pip.
ETA: Maybe something like this.
LOVE this!
I love this room and crib.
Fawn - do you have any idea where this crib is from?
Another one here. We're doing a caramel-y beige color in the nursery.
How's the natural light in the room? I like the taupe idea with the darker furniture...but I would keep it a lighter shade and I would accent with a lot of the colors in the quilt. I love a good neutral room, but it is still a babies room so I would do a light cheerful neutral if you went that route. I'm not sure if that makes sense. lol I still love the green too though.
I love your inspiration! I like the lighter of the green leaves.
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?
