br: Tomorrow is 'food therapy' day...

...why am I so nervous?

I'm not sure if any of you remember my post about Lucas being referred to an 'occupational therapist' for food issues, but tomorrow is his evaluation.

I'm assuming the 'evaluation' is just seeing how he reacts to different tastes, textures, etc? We're supposed to bring him hungry.

I'm a little overwhelmed. Sorry, just needed to type it out I guess...

Just go in there with no preset expectations and you will be fine. Let us know how it goes, I've been thinking about him a lot.

Good luck! I think its normal to feel overwhelmed about this type of thing, when its your kid thats involved. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me! If I can't answer your questions, agood friend of mine is a peds speech therapist. She does lots of feeding/swallowing therapy and I can always ask her.

I know it can be scary but on the flip side, maybe they can finally give you some great ideas for getting him to ear or show you different ways to do things. That sounds exciting, right?

Gosh I can't wait to hear how it goes! See it as just some advice...I really doubt it's anything at all! Look at him! He's gorgeous and a linebacker... He's beyond thriving!
