Re: getting a tax return?

  • We put it in our vacation fund to go towards Vegas in April and St. Lucia in June.

  • Ours will be paying debt also :(
  • We are doing work to our back yard.  Redoing patio, new bulkhead, some landscaping,  and replacing shed (which collapsed from the snow).  I wish we were doing something fun with it, but I am excited to have the backyard nice so we can hang out outside this summer.

  • we paid off the debt we piled up when Norah was born. DH was sick and missed work, then had to take time out b/c I had a baby and was in the hospital, then took more time to cart me back & forth to the hospital & dr appointments until I was driving again. Then N had surgery that he took time off for so pay for almost 2 months was close to nothing and our savings took a hit.

the we bought a washing machine.

we're still waiting on the state return & that'll go into the house.

  • Ours is gone, bills, bills, bills!  We did do a good BJ's shopping and paid for our hotel for Maine!  So at least it was not ALL bills! LOL!

We don't get much anymore now that we don't own a house :(

  • we are building a shed and need to fix the driveway..not to  much fun but needs to be done.
  • Ours is already received and gone. We paid off all of our remaining credit debt, put a good chunk into savings and we each got a chunk to use however we wanted. I bought decorations for the house, new books (now that I am back to work, I have the train time to actually read again!) and a few odds and ends.

  • Bills. I wanted to go away for our anniversary and put money aside for the baby.  That didn't happen.

  • We haven't even turned our taxes in but I will be THRILLED if we get any kind of return whatsoever.  Self-employment SUCKS.  I am dreading what I will have to pay next year....
  • i cant wait for the year that the tax return isnt already spent before we even get it. ~sigh~

partly just debt and then what we borrowerd from my rents for the durango.....

  • If we get anything back, it will likely go towards yard improvements. We need to do a lot of planting on our back hill so that we can hopefully prevent erosion. I know I'll be able to get some plants from friends/family's yards, but it is A LOT of ground to cover.
