To giving my two weeks notice.
My boss (the owner of the company) is the biggest F***ing a$$hole. For the past 2-1/2 years I have put up with a lot of his bullsh!t. He was always picking on me to the point where I had to go to the bathroom and cry. He's made racist comments that have offended me but I kept my mouth shut and did not say a thing.
He always goes on these rants where he yells at everyone for sh!t that's happening in his personal life. He'll find a stupid little reason to yell at us.
I checked my email and he is going on a rant about buying supplies. I bought a $4 binder so I could file papers because I have stacks on my desk, and he freaking flipped out about it saying that we need to watch the bottom line. Seriously, you're getting f***ing pissed off about a $4 binder? I know that when he gets in the office he's going to be in a bad a$$ mood and go off on everyone again.
I've had it, I am so f***ing done! Yes, as you can tell I'm so pissed. I'm ready to freaking cry I'm so pissed. I'm so close to putting in my two weeks notice.

I used to work for a total tyrant and I learned to keep a journal of what went on when. It sucks. I hope you can find something else soon.
Ugh, I'm sorry. I've definitely been there.
My last job, I really think the owner was bi-polar, ADHD and had serious anger management issues. Not a good combination. He would go from joking with us one day to screaming, pacing and stomping the next. One day in a company-wide meeting he called me a f*cking idiot for not printing directions to a location the service people had to go to. I'm sure there was smoke coming out of my eyes and fire coming out of my eyes as I politely said "You did scheduling with (co-worker) so you probably told her they needed to go there. This f*cking idiot was too busy answering the phones to be part of scheduling but decided to help (coworker) by doing her job. Thank you." and walked out of the meeting.
So yeah, I completely sympathize with you. There were days I would leave work shaking I was so angry. Have you started looking for another job?

I dont know how you put up w/ racial comments...I would have gone off on him or reported him to HR like steph said or to his manager even. Do your coworkers feel the same way about him? You should all go complain on a united front. How he is acting is not professional at all. You need to get his assssss in trouble!

I haven't really been looking for another job just browsing on craiglist, but nothing serious. I will definately start putting more effort into my job search now!
The company only has 5 employees so I am the HR person. I forwarded emails to my personal account where he was being a dbag. I also saved texts from communincation with our old GM. She quit because of him. He was so mean to her that she had a miscarriage due to all the stress of working for him.
Gah sorry you have to work for and with such a dbag. Hopefully you'll find something way better and soon. Fingers crossed for you that you find something soon!
At least you've been saving everything he's said/sent you in case you ever need it. And that's just horrible about the lady miscarrying because of undue stress!
