weird murder case in maryland right now
last week we got word that the yoga store lululemon in an upscale shopping area in maryland was broken into by two masked men, and that a woman was killed and another one was sexually assaulted. for a week people were really frightened thinking about how these two men were on the loose, and also how this could happen in such a nice, busy area.
over the weekend there was an arrest in the case - the other "victim" was charge with the crime. turns out she staged the whole break in because she actually beat the girl to death. WTF?? apparently the victim (the real one) accused the other girl (her coworker) of stealing. i guess she was upset and called the victim after work and told her she left her wallet at work, and lured her back to the store. there she killed her and then moved her car and tied herself up to make it look like a break-in. i guess she did other things to stage the scene as well. (and no, it turns out she didn't sexually assault herself, although she did give herself some superficial wounds).
everyone is breathing a sigh of relief that it wasn't two masked me, but still. i guess now we need to worry about our coworkers.

must be living under a rock bc i haven't heard about this yet, but that is totally scary. There are some real sicko's out there....
wouldn't you weigh, ummm being accused of stealing and fired as a better option than, let's say......murdering someone and not only losing your job but going to prison for life!?!
