Ideas for Easter

This will be Oliver's first year that we actually do anything fun for Easter.

What will/do you all do with your LOs?

I want to do an egg hunt- any great ideas?

Do you make baskets or do something different?

What are some ideas of things to get/give since I won't be giving candy in the basket?

Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated!!

Re: Ideas for Easter

  • We do an egg hunt.  Some of the eggs have candy, some have stickers, small toys.  We do baskets.  Everyone gets a bunny, some other candy, some random toys.  I think this year Will's getting new crayons, shaped pasta, some fruit candy, and some other unknown tiny toys.

  • There will be an Easter egg hunt at Grandma's house for the cousins, but Derek won't be walking, so I'm guessing his cousins will help him out if he does anything with it this year.  I'll give Derek an Easter basket though.  I have a couple of cute Easter books for him, he needs some new socks so those will go in there, summer sandles, maybe a little toy.  Nothing too exciting this year since he's still so young.

  • We will be with family and we always have an egg hunt for the kiddos, so Neena will be participating in that.

Jake and I are going to put together an Easter basket for her, we haven't decided what we'll put in it. Probably books, art supplies, or outdoorish stuff. Easter is my favorite holiday so I'm sure I'll make a big deal of it. I know for sure, she will be getting a cute Easter dress. :-)

  • I'll be keeping it small, probably be hitting up the $1 spot at Target! Or going to Dollar Tree, I already gave her a hopping bunny from DT, but we broke it. Stupid tile!

A new outfit is a MUST! As that's what we did when we were younger! We'll be going to my grandparents for Easter. We'll color eggs the night before, my grandpa will hide them... we'll problably only do a dozen since El will be the only kiddo.

As for a basket... UM, nothing huge, like I said before little stuff, like a book, a little chick or something, no candy.
