I just found out 1.5hrs ago that my best friend gave birth via emergency c-section late this morning. She apparently had a bad seizure this morning and was transported to the hospital via ambulance, where she went into another seizure. They delivered the baby 5 weeks early. Her blood pressure (which seems to be the cause of the seizures) has leveled out and she's doing ok. Her and her DH are resting now and I'm hoping to go down there tonight.
Please just keep her in your thoughts and prayers! This is their first child and she's the first of our group of friends to have a child. He weighs 4lb 1oz and is doing well from what it sounds like.

UPDATE:
The doctors are calling her son a "Miracle Baby", they can't believe how healthy and strong he is being 5 weeks early and going through the trauma he did Monday morning. She is doing ok. She was puking a lot and getting really dizzy but they took her off the seizure medication yesterday and that has helped her recovery a lot and there have been no more seizures. She has gotten to spend time with her son twice now, just to see him Monday night and last night she got to hold him and try a feeding.

So scary. I've seen a lot of babies born earlier come out similarly and they are doing great now, I know that doesn't help too much, but I hope for the best in this too. T&P!
