so where have you gone for restaurant week?
J and I went to Sapore Steakhouse in Fishkill. the Hanger steak was divine! the service was ok but i think it's because we are spoiled at the other places we dine at.
This week i am going to Il Ceno Cola (sp?) with my ferry friends. i'll report back on Friday.

sugar...when did you go to Sapore? I took my hubby there Saturday night for his birthday. He had the Elk and I had the filet. I thought the seafood app was really good (lobster, crab, shrimp, etc) but I agree on the service. Also, i found that there were some VERY casual people in there (Tshirt and Jeans AND sneakers!) which i was a little taken aback by as i thought it was more of an "upscale" restaurant.
And yes, hudson's is great!
we went there thursday night. i am deathly allergic to shellfish so i had the stuffed mushrooms, j had the buffalo mozzeralla, he had hanger steak (onions on side) i had the other steak with peppercorn sauce. we went at 6 pm thrusday so it looked like more of an afterwork crowd.
i am a stickler for good/great service. We go to Amici's a lot and are treated like superstars there.

We went Saturday night (i get home too late during the week to go out) and the crowd was definitely varied (i even saw a baby my dd's age). We had one issue with a drink coming from the bar too long and I thought our waitress was nice and funny but overall not impressed with the service.
Although I loved our apps and dinner I didn't think our desserts were spectacular. I had the apple streudel and thought it was average...hubby had pecan pie...he liked but didn't love.
Good to know about Amici's...we've never been.
