Bachelorette Party in Galveston - need ideas
We rented a house in Galveston this weekend for my sister's bachelorette party. Does anyone know of any good restuarants we could go for dinner and then any good bars we could go to afterwards?
Re: Bachelorette Party in Galveston - need ideas
I'm from Galveston so if you have anymore questions let me know.
Where is the house? If it is a beach house there are less options if you want to stay closer to the house but if you don't mind venturing farther to the east end there is more to do.
I would highly recommend the Strand. It is the downtown entertainment area, one stop shopping, dining nightlife. I would definitely go there during the day to do some shopping. Restaurants I would recommend: Luigi's (nicer Italian), Sky Bar (sushi), Gumbo Bar (I've never been but have heard good things), Rudy & Paco's (South/Central American, a little pricey but worth it), Saltwater Grill (seafood), Fisherman's Wharf (seafood and is on the water), Willie G's (also seafood on the water), Olympia Grill (Mediterranean on the water), Yaga's (casual burgers, pizzas, salads, etc- also turns into a bar with live music at night). I think that's it fro strand restaurants. Nightlife on the Strand: Yaga's, Tsunami, 21, The Stork Club, The Loading Dock, Murphy's, Molly's.
Other restaurant recs: Mario's on 61st (classic Italian and my favorite restaurant ever), Yamatos (sushi/ hibachi-another favorite), Salsa's (Mexican on the Seawall), Mario's on the Seawall (owned by cousins of the other one, more modern Italian), Cafe Michael Burger (good burgers, on the west end closer to the beach houses tip: they don't accept credit cards but have an atm if you need it.
Other recs: Float Pool Bar - this is owned by the same person that owns Yaga's and Tsunami. It's on the seawall and would be a fun place to hang out during the day, people watch and have a few drinks. They also serve food (similar the the food at Yaga's). The Spot- 4 places in 1. A restaurant with good burgers and seafood, a tiki bar, a margarita bar, and a martini/mojito bar. It's usually busy on weekends when the weather is nice.
