Too bad I'm KU because I could really use a drink

Within the last 6 week... We had almost all major appliances die at one of our rental homes (replaced fridge, dishwasher, stove/micro) One of the toilets needed replaced and some plumbing work..
On Sunday the home where we live... The furnace died. New one today. Holy thousands and thousands of dollars in the last few weeks. I know it needs done, but I HATE spending money on these kinds of things.OY.
Writing the check today was painful...ugh. So please have a drink for me, mmmmk??? Oh and UNCLE!! Done with the breaking down of expensive home things.
Carry on!

  • but on the bright side, now you have new stuff warranties and you wont have to replace those things for a looong time :)

  • Ick.  I hope this is the end of your string of broken stuff.
  • When it rains it certainly pours! Have you looked into any used appliance stores? That is where we buy our appliances for our rentals. A lot less expensive and almost always warrantied.

true story! The house were in now we'll stay for only 2 more years... Furnace was the only thing that was a sore spot.. So at least we can enjoy lower bills before we move : )

We really didn't have enough time... Our rental home is a brownstone and there are 6 different tenants there... They needed to be replaced immediately to keep everyone happy. I did get a great deal through Sears for how many I bought : ) fFurnace died at the perfect time as not many people are replacing theirs now so we got a great deal. So I really can't complain but wish I could have gotten used for the rental...we will hang on to it for quite awhile and with so many people in I'd prefer not to get the best stuff. Oh well!

  • Man, adult purchases are the worst! Sounds like you're being pretty positive about it though. I'm impressed!
